Great for wide and deep cracks
Recently used this product to repair 1"-2" wide and 4"-5" deep cracks on berms lining my driveway. Also filled some fairly ground but wider "dents" in the driveway itself. This product worked very well in filling up and sustaining the form and shape of the repaired areas. This product is not a liquid, or a semi-liquid, bit rather like tiny bits of gravel covered in"tar". It can easily be scooped up from its container and applied by a spatula, or a small garden spade. The product needs to be compacted to make it set and to achieve a desirable surface texture. I used a small sledge hammer and some different leftover wood pieces (probably not the best way..) and the result achieved was excellent. No comments on durability, since I applied the product only a few days ago. Also no knowledge about what cold and rain can do to this compound since the driveway is located in Southern California. All in all, it seems to be an excellent product.

Fixing Low and cracked spots in my asphalt driveway.
The product was relatively easy to put down. Having a good tamp is probably a good idea. I tried using my yard roller with mixed results. I need to wait a few days before I try driving on it to see how well it holds its shape after curing. My only negatives is how much it takes to fill low spots. The container when you open it is about 2/3 to 3/4 full. I guess it's filled by weight rather than by gallons. It will take a lot more than I thought to fix all the bad spots in my driveway.

want a blacktop patch that works?
This blacktop patch works. I think it is priced way to high, but it worked great. It's been 3 months and solid as a rock. There was only about 2/3's of a bucket maybe to keep the weight down, I'm not sure. It was rather difficult to get it out of the bucket. The best way is to turn it upside down and it will fall out as a clump.

Way too expencive for what it is.
I bought this because I thought you can pour it above cracked area like epoxy sealer or something of that sort. It turns out it is very similar to SealBest® Blacktop Pothole Patch - 50 lb from Menards that cost 10 times less. For the price that I paid for this bucket I would have covered half of my driveway with SealBest or similar Pothole Patch. I have worked before with the Pothole Patch from Menards and it works great. In terms of performance this product is not worse or better than what you will find in your local hardware store. It is just 10 times more expensive. Do not waste your money on this.

This product is difficult to apply
I realized that this product was not what I expected. It was also very difficult to open. Once opened it appeared that I needed additional tools to spread it and pat it down.

Tub o' Pavement
This is literally a tub of low temp asphalt. It's weird, but if you need something like it I'm sure it'll work. The consistency is rocks and pebbles in a light binder, it's very odd and sticky, but it fills holes. I used it to fill a pothole and the pothole is now filled haha.Of note, you'll need a tamper. It doesn't really set (or at least mine hasn't). It needs ot be backed down firm enough that it doesn't stick to tires and shoes. Also, not good for a hole with out well defined edges. I tried to fill an indentation, it's literally a box o rocks though. The repair had jagged edges since there was nothing for the sides of the patch to bond with. To fix this, I used a small jar of liquid blacktop repair to bind it to the surface and it looks OK but I'm not using it for it's intended purpose.

Works as advertised
I used this to patch of a long area of missing asphalt on my driveway near the garage and it worked perfectly. I used a sledgehammer to tamp it and it is clear to me that this is very much a permanent and easy fix for any kind of similar issues.

Does the Job
Getting the bucket open was tough and once you do, it is very difficult to get the material out of the bucket. I got mine out with a metal garden spatula with an extended handle and could use the side of the bucket as leverage. But once you get it out, it packs down hard and would appear to last forever. I packed my down with a 4x4 piece of wood because a tamper cost as much as the asphalt and for me it was just a one time use. I was filling in a couple of indentations and it did not completely fill in like I thought it would. A little does not go a long way. Oh yeah, the bucket is heavy so be prepared.
