Best Car Battery You Can Buy
Got this for a 2005 Mustang GT. Fit perfectly. It has WAY higher CA and CCA ratings than the Duralast Gold it replaced.I've ALWAYS went with Optima because they last forever. Yes, they are expensive, but they are TOUGH, they don't die on you if you happen to let them drain dead overnight by leaving the radio and lights on for 20 hours or whatever like many batteries do.I'll update if any issues come to plague us, but if you don't see me come back, just know the battery is still doing perfect, even if it's 8 years from now. I may update every 3-4 years and say how it's doing, but I have faith 4 years will be trouble free with an Optima Red Top.I'm just saying, it's worth paying the extra hundred for one of these than saving that hundred and needing to buy another car battery 8 months to 2 years MAX later. These last forever AND they blow the competition away with the cold cranking amp ratings (the important rating). I've used these since 2005 or 2006. I even keep a spare that I've had for 6 years that I keep to bring with jumper cables if I ever need to jump someone off since it's so much easier. I think it may be 8 years old now, actually, lol.Long story short, this is one of the most important components of your vehicle. THIS decides whether you crank and leave or get stuck where you parked. This decides if you run it dead, will it still be good (yes) or will you kill a cell with some other cheaper brand (you will).Spend the money for one of these and then you can forget about worrying about your car battery for YEARS to come.

Excellent replacement battery for my 2006 Mazda RX8(AT trans)
This battery is a great OEM replacement for my 2006 Mazda RX8. It provides plenty of power to the vehicle for starting, etc. The battery was simple to install using the following steps:-Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the nut that holds the terminal clamp on the negative terminal-disconnect the negative terminal-Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the nut that holds the terminal clamp on the positive terminal-disconnect the positive terminal-Take the old battery out of the compartment it is in and replace it with this new one-connect and tighten the clamp for the positive terminal-connect and tighten the clamp for the negative terminalOne thing about this battery that was a bit of a negative was that it was shorter than the OE Mazda battery. This meant I needed to prop the battery up a little bit so the terminal clamps could be properly fastened. I simply used the cover that came on this battery and put it underneath the battery to give a 1-2inch increase in height allowing the clamps to clear the sides of the battery well.Pros:*Good cranking power*Everything power-wise runs wellCons:*A little short for the stock battery well(-1/4 a star) However this can be fixed by using the terminal cover that came with the battery and placing it underneath the battery inside of the well.Additional Considerations:Make sure you have a wire brush and some terminal cleaner to clean the clamps. Also some kind of electrical-conducting gel may be good to apply when installing the battery.Overall: 4.75/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Worth the money excellent quality
I cannot stop recommending Optima batteries. The are perfect for off-roaders or daily drivers. They are lighter than normal lead acid batteries and fit everything. Highest quality, starts all the time, and last longer than average battery. It is worth the money especially for your car if it has stop-start.

Terrible battery, don't waste your money, battery replaced in 13 months
I rarely write reviews but feel I need to put something on for this battery. I had a five year old battery in my fishing truck. I drive the truck about once a week but noticed that on cold days after sitting a week it would need to sometimes be jump started. I had a local major auto parts store test the battery (and charging system) and it said replace the batteryI decided to order the Optima battery from Amazon and made a huge and very expensive mistake. I figured it would be more durable for the application. The battery was fine for a while but I had the truck at a shop for a few weeks waiting on parts. After that, the battery wouldn't hold a charge for an entire week without a jump.I contacted Optima who told me to discharge and recharge to de-sulfate the battery. I did that and left it on a charger or tender regularly. If I had to jump start it, I could drive it around and it would restart no problem. Once I left it a few days, it would need to be jumped or charged. Mind you , my 5 year old Walmart battery I replaced with the Optima performed better. Finally today, I had to jump the truck and drove it at highway speeds for over an hours. I parked it for 30 minutes and it needed a jump. All the while the alternator was charging fine and there were no issues. I took it to the same large auto parts store and the test showed the battery was bad. I bought a new, non-optima battery and got rid of this awful thing. When talking with the parts person, she informed me she had a yellow top Optima that wouldn't hold a charge if her car sat a week as well but her Walmart special (not the store she works in) was fine sitting for weeks on end. I believed that Optima batteries are overpriced, and overhyped. This was my first and last one. Notwithstanding the fact that once contacted, Optima said I would have to go through Amazon for a return. I just ate the cost of the battery.Lessons learned: 1. Don't get an Optima battery. 2. If you purchase an Optima battery, buy it IN A STORE. Optima doesn't care to assist in replacing their crappy product they just want the seller to deal with it. Save your money, get a regular battery. Support your local auto parts store.

Awesome battery.
Love this brand of batteries. The last Altima battery I had lasted 9 years at least. This is money well spent.
