Very Impressed!
As a video editor, the InnoView 18.5" Laptop Screen Extender has been a game-changer for my workflow! The large, crisp display gives me the extra screen real estate I need for timeline editing, color grading, and previewing footage. I often work remotely in cramped spaces, and the 18.5 is a perfect size- It will fit on a small table with my laptop, and it still fits in a standard backpack. I almost got the 23”, but as cool as I sure it is, it would have been too big more my needs. I was slightly hesitant on the 1080p resolution, wanting 4k- however, it delivers sharp visuals, and the color right out of the box is great, especially for a monitor under $500. The easy plug-and-play setup means I can take it anywhere without hassle. I would recommend getting a 100watt power brick for it, IF you want it to power your laptop too. It’s lightweight but sturdy, the hinges on the screen are very stiff (in a good way) so you don’t have to worry about it flopping over. I’m working on a n M2 MacBook Pro, and you do have to do a very simple driver install if you want to use the A/B screen option, but its easy to do. If you’re a content creator or editor looking for an affordable and efficient way to boost productivity on the go, this is a fantastic investment! Absolutely worth every penny!

Best purchase I've made for work...Hands down
I started off the year with a portable 16" monitor then jumped to a 24" monitor. I though that was as big as I could possibly go....but I was wrong. I present to you, the crown jewel of my remote work setup. As a medical provider, I often need several programs up at once on my screen. Most of my colleagues that work a standard desk will use a dual monitor system. It's a system that I've been missing since I've gone remote (I travel to a different medical facility daily). This allows me to have my dual monitor setup without carrying two monitors. The clamshell design and 2k resolution are perfect from working on the go. I attempted to use a 27" 1080p monitor for a short time but it gave headaches, this setup is sharp and I've had no issues. I feel immersed in the screen, which is helpful for my attention span. I absolutely love this purchase.Tip: This monitor requires a dedicated power source and a data source. I have been using an Anker Split USB-C cord to power my laptop and the screen, then a second USB-C to USB-C cord for data transmission. It's a fairly clean setup.

Great Portable Monitor with Some Docking Station Quirks
Overall, this InnoView 18” 2K portable monitor is a great product. The display is crisp, the 100Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth, and the dual-screen foldable design is excellent for multitasking on the go. I especially appreciate how lightweight and stable it is—it’s perfect for travel or moving between workspaces. That said, I’ve had some compatibility issues with my Surface Studio docking station. The monitor doesn’t always work properly unless I plug both cords directly into my laptop, and even then, there are times when my device doesn’t detect both screens. Another quirk is when the device goes to sleep—I sometimes have to unplug and replug the monitor to get it working again.Despite those minor frustrations, I still really like the product for its portability, stability, and performance. It’s a great solution for dual-screen productivity without needing drivers, and I’m hoping future updates might improve compatibility with docking stations. Many of my coworkers want one now.

Excellent Portable Dual Monitor System
After we got the driver situation figured out, it is EXCELLENT. Using MacBook 2023 and it is an excellent addition for portability and continued productivity. Should have bought this a long time ago. With the MacBook, we're able to use the USB-C cables and avoid the HDMI which limits screen usage to just a dual monitor system. With the USB-C cable, we can have 3 screens which is what we wanted. We initially installed the power USB-C cable for the monitors into the computer and inadvertently were using the video USB-C cable for power. There is a little tag on one of the cables that tells you "This is for power only." Yeah, we didn't read that and had the cables backwards. That led to having to download the driver from the manufacturer website. Of course it still didn't work after we installed the driver from the manufacturer. Getting frustrated and about to give up, I had the thought to check the USB-C cables and sure enough, they are slightly different thicknesses and foudn the "This is for power supply only." tag. We switched them and with the driver already installed, it worked exactly as expected. (You have to go into Settings and choose the display and configure it like you would any other additional monitor.)Had we plugged in the right cables the first time, I am confident the monitors would have installed on their own without any problems as others indicated has been the case. The screens themselves are sturdy and the picture clarity is great. Stand is sturdy and the hinges hold the top screen without any issues - solid feel.I can run the screens from the laptop without a power supply to them from the laptop by itself but obviously that will drain your battery. It is nice to know it can be done. I haven't tried running the screens from the powered laptop but I'm sure that would work as well. They recommend using the additional power supply.Very happy, would recommend and I will probably buy one for myself at some point, this one was for my spouse.
