SilkyGOMTARO Root-Cutting Saw 240mm Large Teeth (153-24)

When I was faced with some deep roots that were large in diameter that could not be effectively dug out, I looked for a type of saw that could be used around soil and found this. I have other Silky saws so bought it based on experience with them. Wasn't disappointed. Don't use it often but can depend on it when the situation calls for it.

Sawed through a root the size of my fist in about 20 seconds. Great for sprinkler repair.

Tree roots broke one of my underground irrigation PVC pipes. Once I started digging there were roots everywhere. It soon became clear that I could not get to the broken pipe without cutting through several layers of roots. Making it even more difficult, it is in a very confined space next to a concrete wall with roots right up to the concrete underground and there were several other PVC pipes right next to the broken one that I do not want to accidentally cut. Two weeks had passed and I made very little progress.Then I bought this Silky root-cutting saw. Within days I cut all the roots I needed to cut without cutting the other pipes nearby and fixed the broken pipe. Most roots were about 3" in diameter but the main one was 5". Silky saw had no problem cutting them all and in most cases with little space to work with. I am very impressed with the saw.

Nice knife for the price. Only thing nicer would be if the blade was a little thicker but for the price I would definitely recommend.

what can I not say its a silky and yes its sharp and works great even for all trees ..

I bought this saw to cut deep roots on a tree I was removing. The blade went through the roots with ease. A very good tool. I plan to use it also to cut down some shrubs in the fall.

Nice to use in tight areas, cuts fast, and would buy it again. Bill S

I'm very pleased with the saw. I'm trying to eradicate yuccas and the saw is doing a great job severing the roots. It was very well packed (not excessively wrapped) and arrived way sooner than the estimated arrival date. I'm very pleased!

I had to dispose of a large clump of bamboo roots. This saw was excellent for cutting it up into smaller manageable pieces, whereas other tools made little impression on it.

2018年4月に『 シルキー ゴム太郎 根切 240mm 153-24 』を3,400円台で購入しました。「シルキー」は、「 ズバット 270mm 270-27 」、「 ツルギ 万能目 300mm 452-30 」、「ポケットボーイ（「 細目 130mm 342-13 」、「 超細目 130mm 344-13 」、「 大工 130mm 336-13 」）」に続き、4種類目、6本目の購入になります。「我が家」の「排水管工事」において、「業者」による「工事」が始まるまでに、施工箇所に植えてあった「庭木」を切って、「根抜」までしておくことになり、「家族」で「作業」していましたが、最後の「根っこ」が想像以上に「太く」、「我が家」にあった「古いチェーンソー」では歯がたたず、他の「剪定鋸」や「根切りバール」等を使用しても、最後まで切れず、「素人には無理」と諦めていたところの「最後の望み」で「この製品」を使用しました。最初はよく切れていましたが、今回のケースでは、「周りの土を完全に除去できない状態」で切っており、「先端」は何度も「土の中」を「往復」するためか、時間が経つと、やはり「切れ味」が悪くなりました。なんとか最後まで切れたものの、期待していたほどではありませんでした。「周りの土を完全に除去した状態」でも切れないことを「想定」して、「 替刃 」を用意しておいたほうが良いと思います。よく切れますが、過信は禁物かもしれません。 シルキー ゴム太郎 根切 240mm 153-24ズバット 270mm 270-27ツルギ 万能目 300mm 452-30細目 130mm 342-13超細目 130mm 344-13大工 130mm 336-13替刃

Wer schon mal eine tiefliegende Wurzel ausgegraben und abgesaegt hat weiss, dass man dabei fuer jede minimale Erleichterung dankbar ist und lernt, schlechtes / stumpfes Werkzeug zu hassen. Die Gomtaro von Silky / Japan duerfte die wohl schaerfste Handwurzelsaege der Welt sein und man kann damit richtig gut arbeiten. Gesaegt wird nur mit dem Rueckzug, der Vorschub geschieht sozusagen im Leerlauf. Wir haben mehrere Astsaegen im Garten und ich wuerde sagen, dass die Gomtaro fast doppelt so gut saegt wie die beste der anderen. Sie hat allerdings auch ein Mehrfaches gekostet. Deshalb verwenden wir sie hauptsaechlich dort, wo die anderen oft gar nichts mehr ausrichten, halt zum abtrennen tiefliegender Wurzeln.
