Patience is key
The media could not be loaded. I like the concept, the final product does match what’s on the box and on Amazon. The build time did take me about 4-5 hours and two days, but I was also taking tik tok and food breaks so that’s why it took me so long.I do have to say that I wish it did come with a tool to help separate the pieces from each other when a mistake is made during the build. Once I figured out what I was doing and the pieces I needed it was a smoothish assemble.I don’t like how similar the black and grey pieces are because in the instructions it tries to show when you need the greys or black pieces but the paper and only version it comes with isn’t great but does its best. I think for car builds you should have an app for a 3D instruction book.If you want the car to power and light up, you do have to order additional pieces if you don’t have them already. The quality is good for the price for it. The age says 6+, but I struggled a bit. I also had to take off a piece on the front so the hood would stay on and together when having to put the car on its side.If I can find a frame, I’ll display it on my wall.

Not bad
Its a lot cheaper than LEGO, but quite a bit of its pieces are slightly to big or small. It took roughly 5 hours in total with a break to eat dinner. Don’t get your hopes up for the self driving stuff, the motor and battery that are in the instructions are missing(this is very common for a lot of people).

UPDATED: A Challenge That's Worth It!!!
This is written by Asher - age 10: I worked on this model 3 to 4 days a week for about 1 hour.It took me about 2 months with lots of breaks. I did this with no help from an adult or sibling. The final result was terrific, and it was fun to build. The pieces fit together well. No pieces were missing. It looks good, and it was really detailed. Some pieces look really similar, so just a heads up not to use the wrong one in the wrong place.

Cheaper than lego
It was much bigger than I expected and it was a really good quality. It came with the freighter box that adds as a pedestal and I 100% recommend this. Amazing find.

Very attractive black and gold color scheme. Soft rubber tires. Upgradable with additional motor.
This review is for GEVINST Sports Race Car Building Kit, $28 on amazon.Disclaimer. I have not yet built this kit so my observations are pre-assembly. I cannot speak to how hard/easy the build is or whether you might have problems during the build, e.g. missing pieces or how tightly the pieces fit together (clutch power). These 1309 pieces are standard ‘Lego’ size meaning a two-stud brick measures 16 mm wide. The pieces come in Eleven sealed bags:Two bags numbered “1”Four bags numbered “2”Three bags numbered “3”Two bags lettered “G”There are four loose rubber tiresThe bags are referenced in the instruction manual:Bags #1 and bags G are used for assembly steps #1 through #69, pages 1 through 10.Bags #2 and bags G are used for assembly steps #70 through #167, pages 10 through 25.Bags #3 and bags G are used for assembly steps #168 through #270, pages 26 through 45.Assembly steps #235 through #240 and the last two (unnumbered) pages apply only to upgrade with motor and battery pack.Pages #46 and #47 show the application locations for the decals/stickers.The instruction manual measures 5-1/2” X 8-1/4”, is 49 pages long and has 270 assembly steps. Because the manual is a bit small the assembly images are correspondingly small and a bit hard to read . . . especially for my 72 y/o eyes.Overall build length is 14 inches.

MOC 1:14 scale 1309 piece car building kit is both a challenging and rewarding build.
I was shopping for STEM toys for our twin 11 year old grandsons when I found this challenging 1309 piece car building kit. I think it’ll make the perfect gift for them to team up on to build and should keep them occupied for a few hours at least. Because they already have 1:14 scale RC cars and like being challenged I’m confident they’ll like this awesome car kit.
