These really do work and a great price, couldn't be happier.
I am so pleased with these. Since I came off the pill a year and a half ago my periods have been irregular, ranging in cycle length- anything from 2 weeks to 12 weeks, but over the last year generally between 10 and 12 week cycles which doesn't give much opportunity for getting pregnant and means no idea when you are ovulating. So in an attempt to a) check if I was actually ovulating and b) monitor when I ovulated to give me an idea of when my period would start I started using these last August.I used them every morning with the first wee and if it looked like I was beginning to ovulate with a faint line I would test again later in the day to check. As you need to dip it into the urine you need to keep a container in the bathroom to wee into, but for me I have found that easier than trying to wee onto sticks. At this point we weren't actively trying to conceive, and tended to avoid the ovulation time as there were redundancies at work and, until that was over and my job was definitely safe, I didn't feel it was the right time to conceive, but I felt I needed to keep a diary of ovulation and period dates for my own record and should I need them for the Doctors if we later had trouble conceiving and needed to investigate underlying issues. So we decided to try properly in my first ovulation after Christmas. Based on the length of the last cycle I had expected ovulation to come about 5 days after it actually did, but the tests alerted me to the earlier ovulation and meant we could make sure we definitely had a few attempts during the couple of days that the ovulation test was positive. 2 weeks later I got a positive pregnancy test! I realise there is luck involved there too, and that 50% of pregnancies don't make it to the 2 week (4 week as it is called) mark, so there is no guarantee that just because you have made sure you have tried during ovulation that you will conceive or be pregnant when your period is due, but I would feel much more confident in using them to plan a pregnancy in the future rather than 'seeing what happens' without monitoring my womanly cycles. It's early days in the pregnancy so we are just going to see how it goes. The test expiry dates are just over a year and a half, so if the pregnancy were to fail in the early stages, I would begin to monitor ovulation again when ready to enable us to try again, but if I make it to full term I will be giving the spare ones away to friends ttc, with a high recommendation.

Iffy batch???
Im giving these 3* because of the price (£13.99 for 100), fast delivery and the fact its my 1st with them. Ive been using these strips every month for 18+ months with no issue until my latest batch. Due to a medically assisted cycle i needed to pinpoint my LH surge as soon as possible prior to my IUI so i was testing early on in my cycle and multiple times a day as i have a quick surge. The dye is very faint on these strips and both the control and test lines are very thin apart from 1 test that had wider lines (see pic) and they never gave me a positive result when 3 other brands did one of which was a strip from my previous onestep batch. I was using 2-3 and sometimes 4 strips every time i tested and the test line varied in colour even though i used the exact same urine sample for each set of tests. I contacted the seller but i was going around in circles explaining my issue and i was told and i quote "you are unlikely to get absolutely 100% identical results with every test as your urine will not be uniformly concentrated throughout - certain parts will have slightly higher LH concentrations than others which can cause very small variances like the ones you have shown." How can this be when i used the exact same sample and dipped the strips at the exact same time? Ive also read some of the reviews and I'm not the only person thats had these issues. Ive never gotten as much as an evap or an indent on any of my previous purchases, they always gave me accurate and consistent results so I'm putting my issues down to the batch being iffy (batch number 3-L09035-20 exp 09/17)Im attaching a side by side photo for quality comparison, the top tests being from my previous batch and the lower from this batch with the issues mentioned above. As this is my one and only issue in such a long period of time using these strips i would purchase from the seller again and my next purchase would be the deciding factor on wether i remain a customer or take my custom elsewhere.

Helped me get pregnant twice!
So these are great and they’re great value for money but they can be a little confusing. I used a period tracker app to estimate when I’d be ovulating ah started using these tests a few days before. You can definitely see a difference when you’re ovulating but sometimes it’s not the big dark line as it says on the leaflet. In the picture I put a tick next to when I thought was the darkest line (so ovulation) and I was right as I’m now pregnant. They’re good just take a little getting used to and remember to test every day for best results.

Easy To Use
This is the first time I have ever used Ovulation Predictor Kits. I have difficulty predicting ovulation naturally so I decided to give these a try. They are amazing value for money compared to plastic ones you can buy which seem to be very expensive. The One Step Ovulation kits are very easy to use and came with instructions. A positive result is when the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line. They are just paper test strips like you find inside plastic mid-stream tests and work in exactly the same way without the plastic casing. You urinate in to a clean, dry container and hold the strip in for 10 seconds. Results can be viewed after 10 minutes depending on how much LH is present in your urine. On the day I had my LH surge I could read my positive result instantly.I have been using them for a couple of weeks now and they seem to be very accurate. Throughout the second week I used them I found the test line steadily becoming stronger in colour to match the control line then I had one positive day when the test line was darker than the control line and then the test line started to fade the next day.I would definitely recommend trying One Step Ovulation Kits.
