We have a gate that we've been needing a lock for. However, everything we've tried either is difficult to use or just a cheaply made lock.We are glad that we found this as it is the absolute best. It's very secure, professionally made, and works perfect with ease. It's very nice looking too (see pictures). The lock has some key features that we needed.-we can either keep the gate unlocked and just lock when needed to. Or...-we can have it locked at all times so when we close the gate it is locked without having to insert a key or enter code. So easy. Other locks we've seen you have to unlock it to get out then go to the other side when leaving and lock again to secure it. Not this....we just unlock to get out and close the gate; IT'S LOCKED.We can also change from keeping it locked or unlocked by simply just pressing the buttons.No batteries needed either so it will never go dead. This lock works great for us. It's exactly what we've been looking for.Lastly we had a question so contacted them; their customer service is impeccable. We are now planning on use these locks on some doors also. We definitely recommend this lock.

We recently installed 5-foot fencing around our front yard and the workers put a digital lock on the gate entrance. The problem was that tall people, including my husband, could reach over, pull on the inside lever and open the gate. This lock has the same digital code on both sides allowing us the security we want. We wanted to make sure it would fit with the gate system and holes that had already been drilled.The customer service was WONDERFUL! They confirmed that all the measurements would work and guided us through the information on the website. In addition to being very knowledgeable, they were patient, supportive and kind.The lock itself is much sturdier than the one installed by the fence company. It works excellently, giving us the security we want. We have used the lock "override" feature a number of times without a problem. This was a great purchase!

It was super easy to assemble and fit the lock box perfectly. Everything you need is in the box and in the menu. Changing the pass code was easy. Just be careful and patient when exchanging the pins. They were so so so tiny. And also those little springs, they tended to jump around. The provided tweezers were super helpful in this case. One thing I noticed was that the inside of the keypad was rather tightly screwed. I had a hard time to unscrew one screw without stripping it. The lock has been working great since it was installed onto our gate three weeks ago. Customer service was responsive. It is my first keyless mechanical lock so I can't say how it compares to other keypad locks/keyless entry. So far I'm satisfied. I'm hoping it will last for a long while to be worth the price.

Unfortunately, the product stopped working after about 2 months of use - not counting that I was gone for 1 month. In addition it barely gets used as we have a sliding gate that we use daily. The door will no longer open from the inside- what’s that about?? This was also professionally welded on a metal door, so if I want to make a change I also have to pay again to have it replaced. This is beyond frustrating as I can’t message the seller, the 30 day return window is closed and Amazon’s 90 day “support” was not helpful. If someone would please contact me I’d really appreciate it.

I purchased this mechanical combination lock for my front door to replace a cheap inferior lock of similar design I purchased on ebay last year.I noticed the difference in product quality, packaging, instructions, spare parts and service as soon as I opened the Amazon box!! All parts are included (including a small pair of tweezers for changing the key code) along with some extra parts just in case you mess up.I paid a few dollars more for JOUNJIP's mechanical lock than the broken lock from eBay, but I got a much better-quality product. Do it yourself home projects are not my specialty -- but because of the lock and component design and the detailed instructions, I was able to install this lock myself without the added expense of hiring a locksmith, more than making up the price difference.JOUNJIP's lock has a square spindle, which is much easier to work with than the typical flat spindle and extension posts (spacers) which make it easier to attach the two sides of the lock together while also holding the keypad side of lock in place during the installation. This was literally a one-person job, while my previous cheapie lock took two handymen and required a replacement flat spindle shipped from the manufacturer!!The lock features a Passage Mode Option which temporarily deactivates the need to enter in a code. This is great for guests or for bringing in the groceries.I cannot praise JOUNJIP's customer service/tech support enough. I had a question about the installation, and they patiently walked me through it. This is one of the reasons why JOUNJIP's products are the highest rated mechanical combination locks sold on Amazon.

Easy to install, Easy to set the code. Moreover, no batteries that will require changed!. Used on my shop door, had problems with battery operated locks in that past that would go flat in the cold or explode when it was hot. Only small little issue is that this lock uses a striker plate that is a bit none standard in size. only took a some slight chiseling to make things fit but it all worked out in the end.

Worked for about a week before the locking mechanism stopped working. You can easily open both sides without the code. Screws already rusting. Total piece of junk hardware.
