Pretty good for a 20 dollar camera
I needed a cheap camera for a project car and gave this one a try. It did not disappoint. Installation was pretty much standard and I had no issues. I tapped the power for the camera off of the reverse light along with using the reverse light 12+ as my trigger. Is is the best quality? -No. Is it good for 20 bucks? -yes.

Includes optional license plate bracket, wiring, no instructions. Didn't work with my system.
I got this product for free, the following is my honest and unbiased review. (Oct 16 2024)This backup camera offers two different mounting methods: mount onto the vehicle, or mount via the included license plate bracket. All necessary wiring is included however there are no printed instructions.(For those familiar with these devices, this camera follows the typical setup: the long cable with the yellow RCA plugs and red trigger wire goes between your head unit (aka stereo) and the backup camera. The red wire is connected to the backup camera trigger wire on the head unit. Connect the yellow RCA plug into the appropriate RCA jack on your head unit. At the rear of the car, the red wire is connected to the + side of the reverse lamp. The power wire is also connected to the reverse lamp: red to + and black to ground. Plug the power cable and the RCA plug into the camera cable and your camera will work when your car is shifted into reverse.)The size of this camera is about average, but is more rounded and "polished" than the typical "big black sugar cube" backup cameras that are included with many aftermarket Double DIN head units. However this camera lacks the built-in illumination LEDs that are typically on these cameras (they do help a little). This camera didn't work for me. I plugged it into my existing wiring but my head unit says "NO IMAGE!" I know it's not my wiring because I've tested at least 5 other cameras using the same setup, and -ALL- of the other cameras work fine. Very disappointing!UPDATE - Oct 18 2024Upon my request, Amazon shipped out a replacement item. However, the replacement also does not work with my system. I can't believe I got two bad products in a row, so I'm gonna give the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and chalk this one up to incompatibility. Still, it's disappointing that this camera won't work with my stereo, especially since 5 (five!) other cameras did just fine.KUDOS TO AMAZON for shipping out a replacement item promptly and with minimum hassle.UPDATE Oct 23 2024: the seller reached out to me and reminded me that this camera is an AHD 720p camera, which is 1280x720. My head unit only supports 1024x600 so I think that's why this camera did not work for me. I suggested that the seller add to the listing that 720p is 1280x720 resolution, and that the camera won't work with screens that have lesser resolution. Changing the rating to 4 stars.

wire was too short but camera works great
The AHD 720P Backup Camera is a reliable and effective option for enhancing vehicle safety with its clear night vision and IP69 waterproof rating. Installation was straightforward, but I encountered an issue with the wires being too short, particularly the two red wires meant to connect to the reverse light power source. This caused an issue with being able to hide the wires properly, but it was just long enough to have the trunk open once all the wires are connected. The product's installation diagram is accurate, and I followed it step by step, plugging the yellow connector into the stereo's video input and connecting the red wire to the Reverse wire. Using T-Taps, butt connectors and a crimper helped secure the connections. Overall, despite the minor wiring issue, the camera works well and provides a clear view when backing up.
