I replaced the old broken pole light that was over 25 years old with this one. This was an easy replacement and it works great. I would recommend it, but it seems a little pricey.

This does not come with a post, it's just the light housing. (No bulb either)It's made from aluminum and lightly painted black. I've had these before and they can often oxidize in a few years. I coated this well with car wax before I put it up to hopefully help protect it some.This has a fair amount of glass which means that it's pretty top heavy. The neck that attaches the light to the post has a bit of flex to it. We live in upstate NY so no worries about hurricanes but I'd be a bit Leary of this if I lived near the coast.Overall, I think it looks good and should last as long as you'd expect for anything else similar.

The media could not be loaded. Clean lines and compact size of this light fits nicely in any size yard. Attaches to standard size 3 inch post with simple 2 wire connection. Uses standard Edison base bulbs giving a wide variety of bulbs choices. Has lots of room inside for taller bulbs. Top cover attaches with thumb screws allowing for easy access to change the bulb. Seeded clear glass allows for maximum light output while giving a more stylish and interesting appearance than plain clear glass. Sturdy metal and thick glass construction is more than I expected to get at this price point. I tried using one of those fancy antique style led bulbs in it but it was a little too bright for what I felt was necessary for my yard and just outside my kids bedroom windows. Instead I opted for an led flickering flame bulb and it gives off enough light without being too harsh.

Gorgeous. Well built sturdy lamp. Fits on a 3 inch pole! I was so worried this large lamp would not fit my 3 inch pole to replace my old broken lamp that I almost just ordered a small one. I thought maybe I would have to spend an extra $50 and get an adapter but it fits well. The previous screw holes were not on the right spot on my old pole to match the new lamp but and I just screwed them into touching the pole. It sits on top and is sturdy anyway. It also has a grounding cord coming out of the wires which was great. It is so big you may want to think about what bulb to use. You want to install the bulb first because you have to unscrew the very top to get it in. I am using a spot lamp bulb which is putting the light only in the top but I may change to a globe. It still looks great. I would definitely recommend and if I had another pole and wire set up, I would order another one for sure.

This is a well built light and fit and finish was done unexpectedly well. I was surprised how heavy and solid this light is and looking old real now ce. I need to get an Edison type bulb to install.It did come with some damage but it was more superficial.On a note, we have had many lights for outdoor use and this is the only one where the rope glass is sealed with silicone caulk…nice touch to keep water out.We installed this in about 5 minutes.Nice light and stylish.

This is a nice lamp. I haven't had the chance to hook it up, but it will be going on a post at the end of our walkway with our electric charger. I like the size and the weight and wiring seems straightforward. Good quality for the money.

The glass and finish on the metal is amazing. The "skylight" look also put out a nice amount of light upwards. I'm VERY happy with this upgrade to our house and it fit the 50 year old pole perfectly!

This light didn't work for my intended needs, but it is very nice and well-made. A high quality lamp and for the right pole it would be perfect.
