A great way to get into DnD!
Just getting into DnD with my family and this has been great. It gives you pretty much everything you need to get started. All you really need is some dice and that's about it. This gives you a couple of different games to run so you have choices. We're running the one from the Essentials Kit now and it's been a blast.

A great way to learn D&D
This was a great way to learn to play D&D. We started playing with the starter edition as DM and then continued to campaign which was fun.

You're not saving much if anything buying the bundle but it's nice that I can get both with one easy purchase.
