EASY TO VIEW, GREAT PICTURE, WORTH THE COST
I bought two of these 18" monitors to use while traveling (by car), since I don’t like working from just my 15.6" laptop screen. These were a great solution! They’re very easy to set up: just connect via USB-C and you’re good to go. To be able to use two at once, I also bought an adapter. The weight is light enough for travel but still feels sturdy and well made. I was really impressed with the picture quality: sharp, bright, and clear. The sound is decent for a portable monitor, which was a nice bonus.Overall, I’m very satisfied. They perform exactly as I hoped, and even though they’re a bit pricey, I think the quality makes them worth the investment.

Stunning display and excellent build quality
The media could not be loaded. I recently got my hands on the Newsoul OLED Portable Monitor, and wow, it has completely transformed my setup. From the moment I powered it on, I was blown away by the stunning visuals. The 3K (2880x1800) 120 Hz display is incredibly crisp and detailed. It's perfect for my daily work, and when I switch to entertainment and gaming mode, it makes everything pop with vibrant colors. One of my favorite features is the deep blacks of the OLED panel. Watching movies or playing games on this monitor is a whole new experience—the contrast is so rich that dark scenes look fantastic without the annoying bright backlights or light bleed that my other monitors suffer from. The all-metal build quality is top-notch. It's slim and sleek, and it feels really solid despite its lightweight design. I travel a lot, so having a portable monitor that can keep up with me without compromising on quality is a huge plus. However, the glossy display, while beautiful and making the colors really pop, does result in a lot of glare. There's not much anti-glare resistance that I've noticed, and it tends to smudge easily.Connectivity is another area where this monitor shines. Whether I'm hooking it up to my laptop, phone, or even my gaming console, it’s seamless. The on-screen display controls are super intuitive too. Adjusting the settings to get everything just right is straightforward, which I really appreciate. The control buttons are easier to use than the rocker-button system I usually see in other portable monitors. They're easier to press, but since there are five identical buttons, it can be hard to find the right function I'm looking for.One downside is the speakers. They’re incredibly weak and sound tinny, though they do get sufficiently loud and can be functional in a pinch. What also hurts a little more is the lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack so there is no way to have pass-through audio to external speakersHaving tried other brands like Lepow and Uperfect, I can confidently say that the Newsoul OLED Portable Monitor stands out. Those other monitors are fine, but they just don't compare in terms of visual quality and overall performance. If you’re looking for a portable monitor that delivers on all fronts, I can’t recommend this one enough. It's been a game-changer for me.

Very nice display for the price, iPhone 16 compatible
Great picture. Great product for the price. It works as a secondary display for a computer, of course.I’m pleasantly surprised to see it also works well as a secondary display for an iPhone 16 pro, connected via usb c. I power the monitor via a usbc charger or power bank, plugged into one of the monitor’s two usbc ports. With the iPhone plugged into the second port, the monitor also provides charging power to the iPhone.I’m primarily using the monitor as a portable digital “sheet music” display. It’s big enough that I can read two pages side by side. The picture is also great for movies and other content.Pros:1) nice picture in general (inky blacks, bright whites, hooray for OLED)2) high resolution3) vesa mounting holes4) small and light (for being a 16” display)5) comes with two usb c cables, mini hdmi to hdmi cable, power brick, and decent coverDownsides/minor quibbles:1) When using HDR, the monitor doesn’t allow for any picture adjustments. This means you can’t turn down peak brightness or saturation. Viewing it in HDR mode in a dark room will melt my eyeballs. The workaround for this is to disable HDR on the monitor and device, at which point the SDR picture can be adjusted. This isn’t a huge deal, but it would be nice if I could just turn adjust the picture while in HDR mode.2) the built in speakers are really bad (But i didn’t expect them to be good)3) there *appears* to be some color cast and uneven saturation across the color gamut. It looks good for normal usage, but *might* not be a great choice for photo editing or similar tasks. But considering the price, these downsides are pretty minor. Still a great deal.iPhone/iPad compatibility note:I can confirm that this works well with an iPhone 16 pro, connected via usb-c. It’ll even display content at the native monitor resolution when using apps that support secondary displays. I’ve seen a lot of varying (and mostly negative) reports on compatibility between iPhones and portable monitors, but it appears that most of those issues are with Apple devices that used lightning connectors. With the iPhone 15, apple switched from lightning usb-c. I suspect that the monitor will work with any usb-c native Apple device… and for all I know it’s compatible with lightning devices (plus a lightning to hdmi adapter), but I have not tested that situation.

The best portable screen I've used so far!
I have only had this screen for about a week or so. But, I am VERY impressed with the quality of the image! Because it is OLED, there is no "bleeding" of light into the image from the back panel. The image is just beautiful! I've run my Raspberry Pi5 Retrocade system on it, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X and it just looks fantastic! The buttons on the side take a little getting used to. But, once you remember the layout, there's no problems. Speakers a better than average, but not amazing. It would have been nice to have a 3.5mm audio jack on it. But, you can use USB speakers on it.My only beef: In low power mode, it has yet to automatically power itself on when I slap a signal to it. I have had to manually turn it back on each time. But, that's more of an annoyance than a actual problem and I can live with it.I have owned a couple of these portable screens over the years and, so far, this is my favorite one! You won't regret the purchase!
