Paper Lamp, Akari Noguchi Lamp, Rice Paper Lampshade for Bedside or Desk, Japanese Lantern Decor with Warm and Cozy Ambiance for Any Room

I love this lamp. It was easy to assemble and the unique design/shape of the shade makes it an excellent fit in our decor. I do wish it were a little taller (it is 54 in tall which is shorter than a lot of floor lamps) but I'm so happy with the look and the quality that I'm keeping it.

It's a little intimidating at first, until you get it turned around and figure out what goes where. From there, very easy to set up -- though I do recommend using one of the new 'vintage' style of LED bulbs. A bright (especially blue-white) light will make the lamp too contrasty. A softer light is what paper lanterns were designed for, to let as much light through, back when the 'light' was a small candle or oil lamp.Once it's set up, it has a little wider base, so it's best if you have a little more room for it on your bedside table or desk. As for the price, it's pretty much what I'd expect for a light of this quality. If you want cheaper, you'll end up with one that has a wire every inch or more; for quality, a light with wires every 1/2" or less is one that'll last, and hold its shape no matter how many times it's dismantled and folded through every move. Very poor quality, the product arrived damaged (part of the paper was torn) and the instructions are extremely confusing and useless.

Japanese Rice Paper Lamp: This provides a nice warm glow - it isn't super bright, but it is a great lamp to put in a darker corner of the room. This lamp is adjustable in its height with a floor on/off switch. It is very easy to put together, but do take your time with attaching the lamp shade as it is a paper shade. You could easily tear it if you go to quickly and carelessly. It is very nice and modern looking, but will work well with any Wabi-sabi decor as well.

I liked the lamp and it would've been pretty easy to set up, but the part of the frame that holds the shade was built crooked, so the lamp is crooked when built.

Tall and bright. Easy to set up and looks nice in a variety of settings.

I have a somewhat dark corner in the living room and wanted to get a lamp to lighten it up. I chose this because it has a contemporary look and I really like that it is adjustable height. I'm very happy with it. Very easy to use (a simple, foot operated on/off switch). It took no time to put together. I'm happy with the light that it produces, though I feel it could be a bit brighter. Nice build quality for the price. It's a nice looking, easy to use and efficient light... just what I needed!!

This light is not only a good height to illuminate the entire room but it has great functionality. The warmth of the light makes the room feel inviting. It has a very modern design. The size is larger than I had expected and a great value for the money two thumbs up!
