Such a fun train prop set, you could use it for photos or decorations, etc. My son loves trains and we wanted to use this as a "banner" type of decoration for his birthday. It really made the room come alive for him and he absolutely loved it. I think we will also be putting it up in his room next so he can keep on enjoying it. It is made of a durable material, but I not sure what. It is soft like a cotton material, but light like a nylon material. It has grommets pre-installed so you can hang it up easily. I am sure it could be mounted to a sturdy backboard material to make it easier to take photos with. All in all, it's a fun design and it makes for a unique decoration for the aspiring engineer in your life.

We really wanted to use this for a train birthday party, however it was way too flimsy for young kids. Held up by strings that you would have to nail to the wall at the exactly correct height? Seriously. It was clear that it wouldn’t hold up to even 5min of realistic play by a bunch of 5yos. Instead we hung them up near the ceiling with white tack. As decoration they were cute, but failed their intended purpose of a selfie booth.
