Baldwin Prestige Avendale Single Cylinder Handleset with Tobin Lever featuring SmartKey® in Lifetime Polished Brass

It arrived earlier than the expected delivery date. This is a solid brass handleset, easy to install. This was used to replace an existing knob, and we only had to make small adjustments to the opening where the deadbolt throw goes into the door frame. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a top quality knob at a great price. I expect to enjoy this for many years.

BALDWIN as always, Got this lock set from Amazon. installed it last few weeks. Great quality, HEAVY made that you can tell when touching it not even talking about when you install it. Great buying choice that i made on Amazon save me 50 bucks compare to if i buy it in Home depot or Lowe's. Recommended this lock set to others

product was missing screws to properly attach, called Baldwin and they sent something totally different. We had to resolve it without any assistance from Baldwin

Bought this for a new door installation. The finish is exquisite, the brass is heavy and seems well forged. It feels good on the hand and when you open the door from the outside it has a heaviness that makes it feel expensive. Time will tell but it seems that this will last a long time without tarnishing since its Baldwin brass.Its a little difficult to install, scale of 1 to 10 its a 6. You need proper tools for a new install so just get a carpenter unless your really good at DIY, which i am not. There are several holes which are tricky and bolts which need to be tightened properly to make an aligned installation.Tip for double doorsi used this on a double door, right side which is the one that opens and holds the latch. I ended up ordering another working unit for the left-doubledoor. I used the other one as a dummy door. The dummy lock's latch and lever works with tension although it does not activate a lock.Update 2019After several years it seems that the Baldwin is not as strong. The brass has not tarnished but has developed small dots like salt on paper. I think it’s small rust or residue. I don’t want to clean it except with soap and water as it might get worse.

Instructions border on the ridiculous. No identification of what hardware to use and where. Detail is totally lacking. Suggest you buy a different product.

Had this recently installed, works quite well and is a perfect match to the Tobin handle sets I bought for our other interior french doors. Highly recommend this especially at the price here on Amazon, where we bought it from, is a steal.

Outstanding quality and fit. We purchased this set to replace another older unit on our door. The handle set is really high quality, with easy installation. I was worried that this would not match the old hole pattern in the door, but it matched PERFECTLY. I am very happy with the sturdy feel and security I feel with the new locks. Thanks

It's a striking handleset with classic appeal and the look and feel of something which cost much more. Even with zero experience, I was able to install it myself. My only gripe with the instructions is that I wish the various screws were better labeled. I wasn't always sure which one to use, and I made a few mistakes along the way. If the finish holds up as the marketing purports, I can't imagine you'd find a better product for the money.
