It brings us a lot of fun!
The media could not be loaded. This device is absolutely wonderful! I can see three birds visiting at the same time, something that traditional birdwatchers can't achieve. The design is beautiful, and it's easy to install and disassemble, making it convenient to refill food and clean the tray. Connecting the device to my phone is also very simple. Without it, I might have missed so many adorable birds. With it, I get numerous bird visitors every day, bringing life and joy to my balcony. It truly adds more fun to my daily routine!

A birdwatcher's dream
This is the cutest yellow-roofed, orange-roofed, and blue-roofed birdfeeder- the style of the feeder is a cute little modern-style house with a unique roof that basically has an awning. The awning serves two functions, though: (1) it covers the camera to provide an umbrella effect and mitigate any interference from weather or sunshine, and (2) it covers the entire area where the seed will fill the dish, which helps prevent it getting saturated from rain. That's great because once wet it can become rancid and start growing plants (weeds, never flowers). The instructions could be way better when it comes to where things go. There are screws that fit where the perch attaches, but they aren't the ones you are shown to use in the instructions; in fact, they are only mentioned in the inventory list.I love that there are so many options for hanging this, but I feel really compelled to say that one thing shown in the video should not ever be done and this was learned the hard way by a first-degree relative, so I was able to see it first hand and know it to be accurate. In the video it shows using a drill and drilling screws into the bark of a tree. Please don't do this; it was done to a huge tree on my property to hang one of those funny tree faces and the tree literally died within months and had to be taken down to the tune of more than $300. It was a huge tree. So please don't accidentally take out a tree to hang a birdfeeder. Just strap it to the tree. That said, the feeder is a great size and I know from having different feeders in my yard that the Cardinals prefer the bright white ones, the chickadees prefer darker colors to hide beside, and the bluejays, blackbirds, and woodpeckers prefer larger feeders for their larger bodies, but will grab onto the side of the body if needed. I'm not sure yet, but I think they may give it a go on the perch attached here. There's nothing for them to grip on the body, though. So we'll see how it goes.Setting up the camera was straightforward, but I will tell you that this is where the birdfeeder starts to fall short. It could be a glitch and I will have to evaluate over time to see if it is just an interim things (all wifi cameras get buggy and have hiccups along the way in performance) but it has refused to connect - the app will not connect to the camera for live streaming at all. I get motion videos, but no ability to actually watch while anything is happening. So, hopefully I can figure that out or it resolves on it's own.The videos are more than sufficient to make up for it. The pictures are great, the sound is great. It is going to be awesome to finally see the birdies up close and personal. Right now only certain ones get close, like the chickadees - they are so friendly, but last year a baby cardinal flew into my hair, so as long as they are out there and happy, I'm cool with watching from a distance (or a camera).(Please note that I have the same feeder in different colors).

They definitely have a niche in the birdwatching market
This feeder is thoughtfully designed, with a number of mounting options and adjustable camera angle. For birdwatching, it definitely a useful tool, although I do get a bit weary of all the subscription-based things these days and I'm not keen for installing yet another app on my phone. But I think you have to gauge the importance of those things for yourself. For what it is and what it offers, this is a nice tool for getting up-close with the feathery feeders in my yard.

Great fun!
I replaced another type of camera birdhouse with this one. The other one was linked to my home security and the bird traffic was such that it was diving us crazy checking notifications. This one has its own dedicated camera and does not have the same issue. It works off of an app that works well and was easy to set up. The app has AI species identification that does a pretty good but not perfect job. I suppose it is still learning. It often identifies my parked truck or trailer as vehicle approaching or leaving. The house itself is made of all plastic with the exception of a robust ninety degree mounting bracket. The metal bracket is way overbuilt for its application but that’s ok with me. Rather have too much support than not enough. The house was easy to assemble and get operational. The camera mount is magnetic so it installs from the front making cleaning and other maintenance a breeze. The camera mount also features a tilt mechanism which is frictional but works well. There are lots of features for the camera such as audible alarm, flashing lights and two way communication. It has night vision but the location I have it mounted is awash with a background floodlight so it does not work well for me. I have moved it out of the light so to speak and it worked fine. The app has cloud storage and it also uses an SD card which is included. There is also a port for external power so the camera can be hooked up to a solar panel if desired. Overall this is a great camera and the pictures are clear and have sharp definition. The birds absolutely love this feeder as it’s constantly busy throughout the day. I find my self having to refill it every other day to keep up with how popular this one is. There are a total of five feeders on the property and this one is the most popular for some reason. Maybe the birds all want to be actors. Who knows why they like it so much. This bird feeder may seem a bit pricey for a feeder at first glance but it comes with an awesome camera that is plug and play and only takes a couple of minutes to master once the app is on your phone. All things considered I feel like it’s fairly priced for a great product.
