Not perfect, but better than many
I suffer from intermittent hearing loss due to sinusitus blocking my eustachian tubes. It typically lasts a few weeks at a time and is of varying degrees of severity. I don't need, and can't afford, a full spec hearing aid costing £000s. What I do need is something reasonably cheap that I can stick in my ear quickly and easily for a week or so til my hearing returns. I bought Echoedge having tried several similar products.Echoedge come in a small, sturdy charging case with LED indicator display. The devices themselves seem well-built, are reasonably small and fit in my ear comfortably. They come with a screwdriver, brush and a reasonable selection of domes. The devices have enough power to last all day and evening, charge up fully in a couple of hours/overnight, and the charging box seems to be happy being charged every 4-5 days.Switched on, the sound is reasonably clear, natural and largely free of distortion. I find I can hear well when watching tv or talking to other people, so they do what I need them to do. However they do not work so well in noisy, crowded places as then, they over-amplify the background noise. They are also quite prone to feedback, requiring regular adjustment of their position in the ear. The on-off switch is easy to operate, even in ear. The volume control is tiny but can be worked with a thumbnail if required.Overall, for £100 they are reasonably effective and good value. I have returned units costing much more where the sound quality was so poor as to be effectively useless.

Great for clarity!
Really helpful and discreet. Great sizes to find one that's comfortable to wear for a long time. Also quite durable as I've dropped a few times and panicked but they're absolutely fine. Battery lasts all day and more so no worries about running out of battery. Volume range is wide enough for a subtle boost to lots of help. Much cheaper than "hearing aids" and way more comfortable and discreet!

Hearing amplifiers
They are easy to use with a variety of fittings to make a good and comfortable fitment to the ear. They only amplifiers and don't have noise cancelling which took me a bit of getting used to.That said, I use them all time and am very happy with them.

Discreet hearing enhancers
Great for my mum who is hard of hearing but won’t get an hearing aid. They need to be fitted and adjusted first (took about 30 minutes to get them right). They are comfortable, discreet and work well. She turned the telly down from 30 to15!

Value For Money
These sound enhancers are a game changer in terms of improving the quality of my limited hearing ability. They fit well in my ear canal, although I haven't tried all the connectors yet.I use them primarily at home, but have also used them at work and they perform quite well in both environments. However, where they don't quite make 5* is because they interpret some sounds or actions with a squeak, which some might find annoying. Also, despite having the right setting to enhance sound for each ear, I still find that background noise can dominate other sounds and despite using them for nearly 4 weeks per the instructions, I haven't quite got a happy medium for that. For £99 though, these are very good, so long as you have the patience to adjust them for optimum sound quality. Also a little tip if you plan to wear these outdoors, wind noise sounds like loud rustling, but if you wear a woolly hat covering your ears, it cancels the wind noise completely, so despite the minor irritations, I recommend these.
