Saved hundreds with freezer part replacement
When my frost free stand up freezer did not go below 26°F. I looked up my freezer model and symptoms on you tube . The replaced of the thermistor for temperature control and for the build up of ice on the condenser coil i also changed theThermostat that attaches to the condenser coil that turns the condenser coil heater off and on for the build up of ice. You have to go inside the freezer and remove a small panel to get to these components After 24 hours my freezer stayed at 0°F And saved me approximately $700 for a freezer replacement .

Fixed my Freezer
I have a standup freezer that wouldn't keep constant temperature. Tested the old part and replaced. Works great now.

Works well! Less expensive than appliance store, but more than electronic parts store
My stand-alone GE freezer was drifting up to around 20F. After checking the old thermistor resistance and comparing to the chart on the repair sheet stuck to the back of the freezer, it was clear that the old thermistor was giving the incorrect reading. (You can likely measure this from the controller interface without the need to dig in to the back panel where the condenser coils and thermistor are located.)After searching online at the appliance parts stores, the only exact match to my freezer model was selling for $150! I decided to be a bit less exact on the replacement part and instead search for parts that looked similar and further verify the temperature/ohm specs. So I found this one, purchased, and it works great! Now my freezer maintains the original -2F!Even though this cost much less than the "official" appliance parts, it's still much more than a generic thermistor would cost at an electronics parts store like Mouser (~$8). However, in my case, I wasn't willing to spend the extra time/risk searching for a generic thermistor with the compatible temperature/ohm curve, so I purchased this one. Job done.
