This book is okay if you know you want to go into academia after you leave graduate school. But it is not for someone who went to graduate school, obtained real world experience and then is looking for ways to enter academia. The best part is about how to put a portfolio together which in some ways is similar to a curriculum vitae that could be used to present yourself.

This is a great how-to guide to documenting an academic career. Very helpful for performance evaluations, promotion applications, as well as tenure and award applications.
