Accurate Weather, Comfortable Home
The media could not be loaded. I’ve only had the SwitchBot Weather Station for a few days, but it’s already made a big difference in our home. The outdoor sensor is brilliant, especially for my wife, who loves being able to check the weather at a glance before heading out. No more guessing if it’s warm enough for a light jacket or if she needs to bundle up—it’s all right there, clear and accurate. It’s also helped me improve the comfort of our home. Within the first day, I realised the living room was drier than I thought, and being able to see the exact humidity levels made it easy to fix. Small changes, like adjusting the heating or opening a window, have made the house feel noticeably better. For my home office, it’s been a game-changer. The display is easy to read, and the app alerts mean I can keep track of the temperature and humidity without constantly checking. It’s great to know when to make small adjustments before the room becomes uncomfortable or distracting.Overall, this weather station has been simple to set up, easy to use, and very reliable. It fits seamlessly into daily life and has proven its value in just a few days. Highly recommended.

Useful bit of kit
The SwitchBot Weather Station with Outdoor Sensor consists of 3 items. The latest hub mini, the large screen Meter Pro and an external sensor. I've been using SwitchBot products for several years and this kit is a useful addition. It’s all pretty straightforward to set up.Latest Hub MiniThe latest hub is similar to the previous version with the addition of being matter enabled. Note that this version doesn’t have a screen. I believe you need an Apple Home Hub to make the most of this extra matter functionality which I don’t own.Meter ProThis has a large screen version of the previous model with the additional capabilities of showing the current time and date and the temperature and humidity of itself and also an additional device e.g. an external sensor. This is certainly an improvement over the older model. I would have preferred it if the current time and date were larger though.Outdoor SensorI have 2 of them, one of which I have been using outside to monitor the outside temperature and humidity. It corresponds accurately to the weather forecast except when the meter has the Sun on it which is to be expected. The other one I'm using to monitor the temperature of an underfloor heating pipe which works as expected.I like the fact that it uses 2 x AAA batteries rather than the less common button batteries. It was easy to setup and the graphs present the readings in a useful way.Alexa can report the temperature but not the humidity of my outdoor meters (she just returns the humidity of one of my indoor meters) - I believe this is a bug they are working on. Both are displayed and recorded in the app which is fine for my purposes.I’m happy to recommend the kit.

Very good ... when set up, but some frustrations!
The setup between the hub (wifi), app, meter and sensor is very straight forward.Initially the frustrating bit was firmware updates. It would get stuck at 10% when updating the hub. After a bit of research, I made sure that wifi/vpn was not connected on my phone and used cellular (4G). After a reboot of the hub, and another attempt, the firmware installed fine .... also to the meter and sensor. Then the real fight .... adding to Amazon Alexa. Added the hub just fine after installing the SwitchBot skill, and Alexa recognised all 3 devices (hub, meter and sensor). However when attempting to create a routine, none of the devices were showing in the "smart home" section. After several re-links/disabling the skill, and removing the devices and re-adding, still no joy!! I was about to pack it all up and return it. Before I did, I headed back to the SwitchBot app, and dug into settings, and had to add the meter and sensor as "secondary devices"! IIRC, this was achieved by selecting the hub in the main "home" screen of the app, hitting the cog(settings) at the top right > Matter Setup > Secondary Devices .... lo and behold, the meter and sensor were showing as "Available", so I added them. Then in Alexa, the devices now showed up in smart home when creating a routine! This was hard work!!Another thing to note, regardless of what temp sensor you have (SwitchBot/Echo or another), the routines has a bug where very granular conditions need to exist for it to work on temperature triggers, as shown by google searches. Amazon needs to fix this as it is pretty much impossible to create working routines based on temp sensors! Finally, now all setup, the meter displays the indoor/outdoor sensor nicely, and the app is good for monitoring my garden room. It will NOT be going back now :-)

Can view information from my phone anywhere
Bought this to measure temperature and humidity for my mini greenhouse, very accurate information and the app works brilliantly, the sensor is fully waterproof and has a long battery life, everything is easy to setup to, I would highly recommend this!

Another great product from Switchbot
If you like gadgets and you are genuinely interested in the temperature and humidity both inside and outside your home this is the product for you. It links to your existing SwitchBot app but it also links to Amazons Alexa via the Mini Hub. It also gives you the ability to monitor the information over time by graph and/or data. I am still getting to know the full extent of its capability but am very happy with the product so far. Hopefully the price will come down with time.

Loving This Item
Simple and quick to set up in the SwitchBot app and the integrate into Home Assistant.I’ve since bought another Meter Pro and a Meter Plus for other rooms in my house and the outdoor sensor from this kit is linked to all three.I’m using the temperature and humidity information to trigger Home Assistant automations to do things such as close blinds or turn on or off the air conditioning.
