It works!!!
The media could not be loaded. No, I haven't been in an accident but I wanted to be able to test this item so I put a thick piece of tempered glass, a fancy milk jar, under water to replicate a car window and being underwater. Yes yes, not quite the same but its the best demo I could think of. First, I just tried to apply pressure and it caused a small chip in the glass. I then lightly swung the hammer at the glass with my wrist, pressure like I was clapping, and after 2 small wrist swings it broke. To test the seat belt cutter I used my pregnancy selt belt extendor and it tore easily. The siren alarm is ear piercing. I knew it would be loud but it is excruciating! This would startle and scare an attacker/ wild animal to at least attempt an escape if they don't run away. The light works, it's not as bright as a flashlight but it would be helpful. I'm afraid to keep this on my key ring because if its in my pocket or purse I'd be nervous something would accidentally set it off. No need to accidentally wet my pants lol! However, if you're a runner/hiker, this would be a great small safety measure to take with you. We live near the mountains and there's bears and mountain lions. This siren could not only scare the beasts but alert others for rescue. Would even be good for skiing, in case of an avalanche or stuck in the woods to help rescuers locate you.Lastly, I love the visor strap. It securely holds the hammer in place in an easy to access location in case of an emergency. I don't think it'll come loose in an accident or slamming on the breaks and smack you in the head or worse.Overall, great product to keep in a car and on your personally for peace of mind. I hope I never have to use these but I'm confident it'll work and that's all that matters.

An absolute MUST HAVE for your vehicle emergency kit!
This is a set with items that you hope you NEVER have to use, but you absolutely should have. And make sure when you put the escape hammer in your vehicle, you secure it in a place you can easily get to it in the event of an accident! And when I say secure, I mean it. It's a stout bit of equipment and could turn into a projectile if you just put it in the open catch all on top of your center console! The second item in the set is a key chain emergency alarm. Good lord, this thing is loud. I tested it and scared my neighbor, who lives quite some distance away! It's small and discreet enough to carry around with you easily - a must have for responsible teens and any woman (or really anyone who has to go into a less than safe area) to carry with them.My only complaint at all is that the clamshell packaging that these things come in is SUPER tough to open. I even have one of those clamshell openers and it had trouble cutting through the package! That said, the packaging looks very nice and as a result, I can absolutely recommend these as a stocking stuffer type gift or a thoughtful add-on to a going away gift for a freshman college student or first time car owner!

Not best tool for emergency use, but better than not having one.
If you end up in water upside down (or need to get at someone), swinging a hammer may not provide enough of a hit to actually break auto glass, so I prefer the 'spring nail-set punch' approach. But this IS a nice set, with a nice band to attach it to your sunvisor, where it should be accessable even after all but the worst crash.I have NOT tested the hammer yet -and really hope I don't have to!The Alarm buttton is a very handy 'extra' - it's certainly loud enough to attract attention or maybe discourage attackers. Again, better than nothing.

Hope to never have to use it! 😅
I have seen a lot of ads about a hammer escape tool online and never knew about something so handy. While I know this is a super rare event (like I’ve never met anyone in my life who ever went through something like this), my anxiety at times when driving through a bridge or close to edges of body of water always make me think of the possibility. You just NEVER know. Isn’t it better to be prepared for something that may never happen than have it happen to you and not having what you may have needed for it? I’m keeping it in my glove compartment so it’s easy to reach. The safety alarm is a lot bigger than I expected though, and I do wish it was smaller to comfortable fit my keychain but overall, it does what it claims and IT’S SUPER LOUD! I’m actually quite happy with it. Being a woman makes us unfortunately more vulnerable to crazy events when living in a city, so having something for peace of mind, even if it’s just to attract some attention in an unwanted situation, could be helpful. As the title says, I truly hope to NEVER really need any of them, but the peace of mind it creates is like no other.

Nice weight and feel
I grabbed this in white since I figured it was easier to spot in the car when needed. The weight seems good, and the retaining strap makes it easy to hold. As for the keychain alarm, I tested the db rating and got between 112- 120db during my test. This to me is the kind of kit you but in case you need it but hope you don't. Solid 4 stars

Every Car should have one of these it !
This Bling Sting Escape Hammer is wonderful! It will smash your window if you need to break out of your car. It has a recessed razor blade which will cut the seatbelt if you cannot unlatch it. One really nice feature is that it comes with an adjustable strap so you can attach it to your sun visor. This makes for easy fast grabbing when you need it, instead of digging through the console or the glove box and then it is too late. Obviously, I cannot “try it out” but it does give me peace of mind that I am prepared for emergency. I do think EVERY car should have one, and young drivers should be reminded of it! Definitely buy one...the life you save may be yours!
