Perfect
Adding this to my new mobo took my computer to benchmark in the top 2% in the world. And thats without even overclocking. Im letting the AI do the overclocking as needed so i dont get a lot of direct raw stats for that. But this thing runs like a beast. it hands out at a cool 32C and during gaming only up to 41C.I have had no crashes or issues what so ever.

Good CPU, as long as you keep up with the firmware updates, as well as BIOS updates
I bought this in December last year for a build I was putting together, which I was able to finish in January of this year and have always gone with Intel, but was moving up from a 7th Gen i5 processor Dell SFF Optiplex to the most current CPU on a Z890 based motherboard. With the Thermalrake bracket to better hold the CPU to the socket, it's been great so far and video editing so far on 1080P has been fantastic, I have it paired with the Intel A770 graphics card and it all works great. Not bad price for a really current CPU and was not that much more than the 13/14th Gen processors, so went for it.

Awesome productivity power house
This Intel processor has received some heat for not being a generational leap compared to its previous generation. From my experience this cpu has been great. And if you were wanting the performance of the 13th/14th gen but were turned off because of the cpu degrading issues, then this might be a good alternative. It competes pretty well with similar prices non x3d parts and it has pretty good deals that can make it a better choice since it did have such a bad perceived release (which I think was a little overblown when you look at the price vs performance of there competitor)

Good all purpose processor I recommend, a nice change to be less power hungry
Built a new PC a few months ago. So far this processor has been a workhorse and fairly efficient on power. Using a AIO two fan Corsair cooler barely ever runs warm. Added 128g 7200 DDR5 RAM and this thing can't be slowed. Performs AI workflows in Stable Diffusion very well (wish the 4070 was better matched but it's going to be replaced with 5080). People bag it for gaming but i have no issues playing Bioshock or Dying light. Runs easily on high settings 1440. I like it alot! Too many poor reviews from Youtube that only look at raw gamer stats. There's pros and cons to all of them.

So glad I went with The Core Ultra 7 256K...
Loving every aspect of my system build. The MSI MAG Z890 Tomahawk mobo, the Crucial DDR5 and SSD and the creme de la creme Core Ultra 7 265k. I run math intensive programs and process astrophotography and this CPU says 'I thought you were going to make it tough on me', because it's not breaking a sweat - literally. The CPU temp is hanging out in the low 30s. I'm using the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 for cooling and it's overkill IMO. This thing runs much cooler than my 11th gen I7 in my Dell Notebook. So glad I skipped the 14th gen 14700K, much less heat and fast! I running two monitors, one (the 4k) through the Thunderbolt 4 port and the other with the HDMI port (a QHD) and the quality is amazing with beautiful colors straight from the CPU's GPU cores. For my needs a separate GPU isn't needed (but the new ARC B580 looks intriguing). IMO, the Core Ultra 7 256K is a winner.

LIKE IT so far. Seems tk run jusy a little hot, but not bad- we will see how hot in the summer though- it is fast! Would, order again if I build another computer. Pricey though. Would, have liked to see it bundled with something at that price.
