Sturdy, solid, adjustable
After I broke my hip, I realized the importance of a standing aid. This unit is adjustable, feels solid, and provides separate heights to sit down and get up.The longer feet, which go under the chair, provide a very sturdy base. The handles are comfortable and can readily be set to a convenient height and width. The unit looks nice and is relatively unobtrusive.Adjustments are made by removing two bolts per side. This takes a couple of minutes. This minor inconvenience is offset by how sturdy the unit feels.I recommend this unit if you need assistance to get up and down.

Good if you're able to push up to stand.
Adjustable Dual-way Stand Assist (300LBs Loading, Dark Gray, Brand: THOOUM)- No instructions were provided.Another person helped me assemble it, and they found the assembly difficult. The unit feels robust and was not too challenging to lift or position. Moving it from one room to another was somewhat tricky due to it's size, yet manageable. The materials are durable too. However, I'm unsure about how to adjust it. It would have been helpful to have instructions. I must make an adjustment before I can use it properly. It seems adequate for a push to stand, but I'm uncertain about its effectiveness for a pull to stand.

Not as enthused about this as I wanted to be...
First, everything was well packaged within the shipping box, and the instructions were mainly clear. I'd like a bit of clarification on the center support - one side is wider than the other, which feels like it should go on the bottom.I'm able-bodied, though the target audience for this has balance and dexterity issues. I put it together, but doubt the other person would have been able to alone - some of the posts really don't want to go into place and need coaxing. Some of the adjustable parts have an open slot all the way along it, creating an open side to make it easier to put on. This drastically reduces load bearing, as well as leaving sharper edges than should be there for a mobility device. With all parts assembled properly, it's still a bit wobbly. Downward pressure is ok, but if you're having trouble getting the balance before pressing down, it's shaky which may be off-putting and somewhat frightening.I like that there are two heights to push off of, and that the legs are suitably long to give strength to the unit. The adjustability in multiple ways is solid, and that it can be changed as needed for different people or different chairs also good.

Sturdy and helpful
I actually got this for my father who is disabled to help him out if his chair since he refuses to get a lift chair even though he can afford it. He hasn't actually used it yet but my husband has and it was very helpful for him. He has bad knees and a hard week at work had him sore and exhausted and this may have been the only thing getting him out of his recliner. It was easy to put together and sturdy. So far it has been helpful and I'm sure when my dad starts using it he will appreciate it too.

Provides two-handed support
I got this for my mom but unfortunately she can’t use it for her favorite chair because it’s a recliner. So for now, she is using it on a less used chair. She does like how sturdy it is and with the dual height handles, she can use one set for getting up from a sitting position, then use the other set once standing. She also likes that there’s a handle on each side and she can use both hands to grab them providing better support and making it easier to push off with both hands.
H**!
This allows my Mom to have several seating options.
This stand-assist has given my Mom more options to choose from on where she sits. I wish we had it a few years ago when she started having problems getting up. We did buy her a recliner that props her up to standing, but she just doesn't like to always sit there. We constantly find her sitting in other locations, and she screams with fear if we try to physically help her get up. This assist is making us all a lot happier! It is simple to assemble and seems to be quite sturdy. I am very happy with it.This product is made in China.

very well built, and adjustable
I'm surprised by how well built this was, comparable to my expensive weight lifting equipment that is meant to hold a ton of weight. My mother loves the dual handles, so she has 2 heights at once.. The only down side is that to adjust it you have to use bolts as opposed to buttons or whatever. With that said, i don't ssee any reason you'd want to make it lower, and having the 2 handles means that adjustment isn't really nessassary...in all, this is better than the ones at my mothers doctors office, and they paid a ton for theirs
