It's a good upgrade for your 1/16 or 1/18 scale Losi car
I replaced the controller and motor in my JRx2 mini with this. They are nice low cost motors and controllers that really hold up. To make this all work with my JRX2 Mini I swapped in a Flysky radio and transmitter. All of the parts fit like they were designed for the car. This is the way the car should have come from the factory. Brushless makes racing this thing in the backyard fun.

Drops in to my TRX4m
Bought this for my TRX4m, you will need to have an alternate mounting for this as well as a third party RX for this setup. Everything seems to be working as needed, there is no real specification on maximum cells.. but since the TRX4m is 2S, thats what I am using and it works well.Low speed control feels great and there seem to be endless torque. Time will tell on the durability of the motor and the ESC.

As advertised so far, I'm happy with it
This combo works well so far based on my initial testing, though I haven’t had the chance to see its full potential as my build is still in progress. From what I can tell, the ESC has solid build quality and feels durable. I have high hopes for this motor and ESC set, and once my project is complete, I’ll be able to provide a more detailed assessment. For now, it seems like a good option for small-scale RC builds.

Inexpensive brushless motor
This one is a bargain. For only $36 you get a brushless motor with accompanying ESC. It is not the most powerful motor, but certainly enough for my 1:10 slow crawler RC project I'm currently building. How well will it hold up once it's installed and running only time will tell. Just hooking it up temporarily to check torque tells me this one is powerful enough for my project. As you can see in my pics it is pretty well documented. The only thing I would recommend to the manufacturer is to include a heat sink to put around that motor. I happen to be a retired electronics guy, who also an electronics bench AND also has a fairly populated machine shop in the basement. Therefore, I can easily fabricate one from an electronics board heat sink. With that and a little heat sink grease I'll be in business. However, I shouldn't have to do that. Not going to take away a star for that however because for what you get this is a bargain and appears well made. It exudes quality right out of the box.

Good motor and speed control combo.
This is a smaller motor than a typical RC motor setup, but if it fits your model, it will be a good upgrade from brushless. The motor seems to have good torque and runs smooth, and the speed controller did not need to be setup to work.Out of the box, its factory settings are good enough unless you have specific needs. The end bell of the motor has 3 pairs of mounting holes for different situations. It is a nice motor and speed control pair, too bad it didn't fit on my TRX4M, it got in the way of one of the output shafts from the transmission.

ESC is Very Nice. Listing Lacks Details on Voltage Requirements
The media could not be loaded. WHYOriginally I was going to put this in a RC rescue boat because it is waterproof, but then realized the motor had too high of a KV to be practical for a rescue boat. However the ESC will work for that and I will put the motor on one of my RC trucks.INITIAL IMPRESSIONSThe listing on amazon does not really say what voltage the motor and esc are rated for, but the motor does come with some instructions and it looks like it is rated for less than 11 volts, which is odd because I’m not really sure what battery that would be. Between the motor and the ESC, the ESC is probably of better quality. The motor wires are kind of thin and I felt them heat up with no load on the motor when I did my initial testing.PRO and CONSPROSESC is very niceESC has a cooling fanESC seems to have plent of power, I hooked it to a 2507 1800kv motor with a 7 inch tri blade prop and it about took the mount out of my handCONSMotor wires are kinda of thinListing doesn’t provide a lot of specifics about the voltage, you have to buy it first then you can find that info in the instructions.OVERALLI’m pleased, mainly because I wasn’t expecting the ESC to be this nice.Giving it 4 out of 5 stars because of the lack of info about the voltage

This is a great kit!
Just upgraded an ECX Ruckus with this and some metal parts where needed and it screams on 2s compared to the 380 motor! I did need to order a pinion gear because the out put shaft on this is smaller than the 380 motor, but once that was in it took less than an hour to get everything installed, hooked up, stuck down and ready to run! The car is FAST now on 2s and needs some hex extenders for stability at speeds it was never intended to go. This is a great kit for the asking price.

good for forty bucks, good speed and torque, Surpass is good budget stuff
I've got a fair amount of Surpass gear and I have only been disappointed once. They make a good kit for a good price. If you are upgrading on a budget this is a winner. Just be sure to check those specs to make sure it works for your application.
