Aftermarket replacement for your Coleman Mach AC motor
This motor fits Coleman Mach AC units. I used mine on a Mach 15 (model 8335).So, first, the bad. The packaging is not very good. Mine arrived without any real damage, but I think I got lucky. It is just packed in styrofoam (seriously, why do we still use this stuff - it is terrible). It is not for really heavy items, because the freight carrier will drop kick them and them it gets all cracked and split. Then, it is worthless. See my pics of the hole in the box that thee shaft made. Luckily, it didn't seem to affect anything, though. The good news - it works and I'm back up and running. The motor is the dual shaft style, to the evaporator fan and the condenser fan use the same shaft. You have to get both sets of blades off to get the unit out. Then, take some pictures to know where all the wires go and get it out of the bracket and you're ready for the new one to go back in.Comes with a start capacitor matched to the motor. It was the same as mine, so I just left the original and I will keep this one as a spare. The capacitor wires (brown and brown/white) have insulated spade terminals already pre-installed, which is nice. However, the wiring diagram on the motor has them listed wrong. It says the capacitor wires are White and Brown/White - when they are really brown brown/white. Had to take a star for that. The other three wires - red (low fan), black (high fan) and white (fan common) are just stripped wire. You have to cut/splice the wires to the harness if you don't have a Molex connector pin set.Still, for the price, it is a great value. Listing states it has a 2-year warranty, but no idea if it would be easy enough to get warranty replacement. Hope I don't need to test it out.

Two white wires? Whaaaa?
Full disclosure: I don't have it hooked up to anything yet. I am not a big fan (ha!) of seeing reviews of products when the reviewer has yet to even use it. I did, however, test it - and I'm happy to report that the motor worked without any issues. No strange noises, mounting screws/nuts all have workable threads, and the overall quality points to a well made product. The only issue I have with the motor (as you can see in the picture), is that the wiring diagram states that there are two white wires while brown (or "brn") is missing from the label. So which white wire was replaced with brown? The "wht" wire going to the capacitor? Or the "white" wire to the line? An important distinction in my opinion. I was initially concerned with this, about to go get the multimeter so I could check the continuity of each wire (always good practice anyway), but it was easy enough to deduce after studying the connection options for a monent. Still, you would think that getting the label correct would be a high priority considering it's importance to the motor's functionality. Because this caused me to question quality control (or possible lack thereof), it loses a star.Otherwise, I'm very happy with this 1/3 HP motor, its inclusion of a capacitor (not always the case with motors from Amazon), and will report back if I have any problems once it has been hooked up to the fan. I don't foresee that happening; at least not due to any fault of the motor.
