Pocket Sized Internet Radio!
This little pocket-sized radio is great. Very portable and good wifi antenna. It also has the capability to use eSIM in case you need to use cell tower data. You can purchase data packages from Choyong that are reasonably priced if you want mobile data activated. The speaker sound is on the high end as you would expect for a small speaker but still sounds good. The FM tuner is very basic but I purchased this radio for the internet radio stations so no problem there. It is good to know that I have FM in case I am out of wifi reach. The voice search needs more work since it doesn't recognize what I am saying or just partially. The LC90 (the big brother to this radio) has a much better voice search but in the beginning it was also spotty. I am hoping for a firmware update to improve the voice search. All together, I am happy with the purchase.Update 3-22-25:The updates are very easy over internet connection. A firmware update came out today. They fixed the voice search! It works great now so no more manual searching for me! Also they added podcasts to the menus so I can save my favorite podcasts! Game changer!! The podcasts are also voice searchable! This makes this little radio my second favorite portable entertainment next to my cell phone. I find it more enjoyable for Internet radio and podcasts rather than using cell phone apps and the radio is more durable.

Feature rich!
The media could not be loaded. For the money this is the little radio that can. I just upgraded the firmware and it now supports Podcasts and the voice search now works flawless. It has USB C charging and it comes with a USB C to mini stereo plug adapter. The sound is a little better than I had expected for a speaker so small. You can add you own custom stations. It does have FM but it honestly feels like an after thought as it has no antenna and the reception is ok at best. The community is strong on Facebook with lots of people that will help answer any questions you may have.In summary it has a strong voice search feature, tons of internet radio stations, tons of podcast, just OK FM reception, It can play flac audio from a micro sd card, It supports 4g sim cards (I am using Tello data only for 6/month) and has esim as well, Wifi of course. I might have missed a few features but the point is you are getting a lot for the money here.A couple of things to be aware of. One is that the battery life is good if you COMPLETELY turn it off when you are not using it. What I mean by this is that you can turn down the volume until you feel a click and it is in a standby mode and will not last for more than a couple days in this mode. The other and better way to turn it off is hold in the power button for a few second until it says shutting down. Another thing to be aware of is that the adapter that goes from USB C to stereo headphones is not a normal adapter you will easily find and that is because it does not have a DAC in the cord. Point being, do not lose the adapter, although you can buy a couple from the manufacturers website if you want.

no easy set up
It took me a half hour to open the box; the Wi-Fi sign-in is not user-friendly.

Nice radio but clunky to program
I recently picked up this internet radio that has some great strengths but also a few quirks. The audio quality is solid, delivering clear and rich sound that’s perfect for streaming stations from around the world. What really sets it apart, though, is its stunning design—it’s absolutely beautiful and looks fantastic in any room. However, programming it is a bit of a challenge. The interface feels clunky and not as intuitive as I’d hoped, which made setup more frustrating than it needed to be. Overall, I’m giving it a 4 out of 5—it’s a great device once you get past the initial hurdles.

Good portable Internet radio
I enjoy this radio . The sound quality for the size of this radio is quite good .I use this outside doing yard work an it worked well.I also used it in my basement gym an had no pri connecting to my wifi. This was very impressive as my home gym is 3 flights of stairs an on the other end of my house ..My house is 3400 square feet an brick .The hardest part of using this radio is putting your password in for your wi-fi if you have a long password.. It might take you a total of a couple of min. Setup is easy other than that . Easy to read bright display an I have had very good battery life ..I played it at 50% volume for over 12 hrs an power dropped maybe 10%. I would highly recommend this radio very versatile .

Fun little radio with a good sound
This is the little brother of the Choyong LC90. The A8W is a little bit quirky but Choyong has a system where the firmware can easily be updated. They just rolled out a great firmware improvement for the LC90 and the A8W can expect a similar firmware upgrade soon. They improved their website so it is easy to add radio station streams. If little quirky problems bother you then keep passing by but just know that a firmware update can make you happy again. Also the developer of this radio is very active on the Choyong Facebook group and he'll respond to your requests or posts. It's a good community as well.

You get what you pay for
Pros: Small size, easy to set up, sounds pretty good considering the size.Cons: Apparently only has a 5-GHz wifi transciever, does not connect with 2.4 GHz wifi. This is a problem if you work in an older office like mine that doesn't have 5-GHz. Gets about six to eight hours playing time on a charge. Will discharge itself in a little over a week unless you use both on/off switches.Pretty amazing little radio but I wish I had spent a few dollars more and gotten one with a bigger battery and 2.4 GHz capability.

Amazing internet radio in a small package
This is an amazing internet radio in a small package. The best way to use it to its full capability is to create the internet account on their web site and then search and select channels there which are sent to the radio.hopefully the ChatGPT voice technology will come to this radio like the LC90, because that is amazing and the voice recognition on this is useless.I wish it had an easily replaceable battery. The fact that is a sealed unit with not having an easily replaceable radio is a big negative. Also a flip out stand would be nice.Very happy with this purchase.
