I wanted this to assist in reading the newspaper and it worked well. I did "bend it" and used it on a table, instead of around the neck. Then I could easily move the paper under the magnifier and light. I also did reinforce, with a thin strip of Gorilla Tape, the frame to the glass, on the edge that hooks into the detachable function.

Even with the notification for how fragile this product is, it's even more fragile than that. My screen has already cracked, and that was just from normal handling. The magnification is good. I've decided I can't use it for my original purpose, but will use it for another, which I think will help.

The media could not be loaded. I’m a long time knitter but took a 5 year break. Turns out my eyesight went completely awry during that time. This is a miracle for anyone needing to see better. It’s bright, clear, and seems to stay charged for a nice long time. I’m only 56 and feel no shame at all using this.

Poor performance. Battery died with single use. Today, one month after that single use, light would not come on. I was mystified, but a friend looked it over and found the battery was dead! It's rechargeable, but I am wishing I had never bought it and it's 4 days too late for returning.
