Working great so far, lots of connections and flexibility. I particularly picked it for the monitor connections and numerous USB speeds. Handles a secondary USB splitter well and 2 large monitors. I only experienced 1 lockup in 6 months where a simple reboot solved all the problems.

I bought this dock for $170 from Amazon in "Acceptable" Condition and it basically came in virtually "Like New" condition which was fantastic. For the price I attained this at, this was great.Practically, this works fantastic and had exactly the number of ports I needed. I am literally using every single port opening on the rear for my setup. I have this connected to Dual PC Monitors & my Office TV (3 Screens in total). You can connect up to 4 screens if you want.The rear of the dock has 4 USB-A Ports, 2 HDMI, 2 DP, and 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen Port.The front of the dock contains 2 USB-A ports, 1 USB-C TB Four Port for the Laptop, 1 SD Card Reader, 1 MicroSD Card Reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.It is plug and play out of the box as long as you have a Thunderbolt 4 equipped device but if you want extra functionality, it works with the Kensington DockWorks Software which allows you to switch off the auto-on that toggles between Ethernet and Wi-Fi which comes in hand in certain situations. You can download that from Kensington's Website for fee.Aesthetically it looks really sleek and it would go especially well with any gun metal/space gray color. I have it tugged away between my office phone and printer and it doesn't look out of place. I'm currently using it with my new 2024 Samsung GalaxyBook4 Pro 14 inch laptop and I'm happy with this purchase!

I've been using this dock (Kensington Thunderbolt 5 - SD5000T5) for a few months and it's been really fast. I have a usb mouse and an audio interface connected via usb-a ports, and just a thunderbolt 5 host connection going to my M4 Max MacBook Pro - yes, I've tested several thunderbolt 5 cables of high quality. The usb devices both disconnect randomly - sometimes every 30 minutes during a work session, and sometimes they don't all day. This could be the host thunderbolt connection or it could be the usb bus on the dock. I suppose it could also be the port on my MacBook Pro, but that's pretty unlikely. Not a good experience.

My previous attempt with one display driven by the HDMI port, and a second identical display adapted via USB-C & HDMI was inferior.One week in, and this dock works perfectly driving dual displays for my M3 MacBook Pro. Now I have more ports via the dock to deploy, fewer desktop cord clutter, and I repurposed my Apple power supply to remote use.Setup was nothing more than attaching connectors. No software or drivers need. As a bonus, my displays drive at a higher refresh rate rate and higher color standard.

Pro's:1) I had zero issues in setting up the docking station for my Macbook Pro M4 MAX and my 2 6k displays. Set up was a breeze and my equipment fired up immediately. No drivers or firmware to install.2) Set up included 2g speed via ethernet cable. All good, no drops. Ditto with wifi speeds at same speeds.3) I had none of the drops or disconnects that others were referring to. Doc worked beautifully.4) Docking station is well built, sturdy & premium device.5) SD Card reader worked with no issues.Other Considerations:1) The host port to connect docking station to laptop is built in the front of the docking station. So you have cables running from front and back of the device. (The back includes 2 USB-C ports/cables to 2 displays and 1 power cord + 1 ethernet cable). So I either have to leave the docking station octopus mess on top of my desk or buy longer cables and place it on the floor (which offers no easy access to SD Card Reader) - - both not exciting options. For $390 plus tax, I would have expected a cleaner cable design for users.2) There is no CFexpress Card Type B Card reader.3) You may need to factor in the cost of two or three USB-C Thunderbolt 5 cables which depending on length can range from $27-$70 each. (Product comes with one 3 meter cable)

This works pretty well. I have only tried it with two monitors attached so I am not sure about how 3 monitors will work on an M4 MacBook Pro. When I bought this it was the only ThunderBolt 5 dock on the market and I wasn't going to get TB4.The only issue I have had is that items attached to a 10-port hub attached to this dock don't always work perfectly. I'm not sure if that is a Mac-related issue or the dock. I have not had any glitches with my monitors which I use very regularly.The design is good overall, and I actually prefer the "in" port being on the front, although some people do not.What I wish for:*Additional TB/USB-C and USB-A ports on front - this should replace hubs especially for USB-C - ideally with dedicated PCIe USB controllers rather than the USB tunnel over Thunderbolt*Audio with S/PDIF out*NVMe slot internally

It works perfectly out of the box—no adjustments or customizations needed. I plugged everything in, and it worked without any issues. The dock and laptop don't get hot, and the laptop fan runs as expected. My only complaint is that the power notification light is too small and dim. I usually prefer devices with minimal lighting, but this light is particularly hard to see. Overall, I recommend this dock. Lenovo IdeaPad, MacBook Air M1, Brother laser printer, Fujitsu scanner, Samsung display port monitor, Harmon Kardon speakers.
