Very nice little radio
Purchased for my mom who is in her 60s and loves listening to our local radio station.

I bought due to the 2 D battery feature, now I regret not buying another Panasonic RF-562
Pay a little extra and get a quality DSP 2 D radio in the Panasonic model RF-562DD2, this particular model, (ONGTEED) sounds fine on FM, but I could only get some squirrely signals on SW and the range is for daytime propagation, forget AM, it's DSP, but there's something wrong with the sequence when tuning, you think you have a clear channel station, but when you move the dial, it's not precise, it moves around, (the signal associated with the dial position, not the dial itself except when it's moved by the user) and forget any chance of receiving weak AM signals, no I will donate this to charity, I won't make the Hassel of returning, my problem. If you only plan on listening to FM stations, this model is adequate and has adequate volume via the speaker, it's a modern look with DSP guts and if FM is all you listen to, it's probably a good buy if you can get it on sale, try not to overpay as some radios that use 3 or 4 D batteries probably work better due to higher voltage internally. But I still prefer the RF-562 by Panasonic as a 2 D radio, it's practically flawless as all 3 bands work really well, (day or night on SW). I actually got one sample where the whip antenna arrived broken and in order to use SW, I needed to add a functional whip as with DSP, on a good DSP circuit, all you need is an internal wire, not so with SW, it may look unsightly, (the whip isn't flush with the back of shell) but SW works fine with the whip I added from an inferior DSP radio I had no use for, (not the model listed above that I'm donating).

Don’t buy it
Piece of crap. Stay away not worth ten cents. Quality is so poor you have to shake it to get it to work. Barely gets any stations and is full of static.
