Super handy!
This is such a useful tool. I am always looking for a tiny 12pt socket that can hold my taps, and it rarely works right. This takes care of it. The materials are plenty strong for the size of taps the accommodate and it comes with an attachment to use in a drill if you really wanted to. Personally, I like to use a short ratchet so I can feel binding and not snap my tap. The storage case is a nice touch too, it holds it all neatly. All in, this is a tool anyone that uses taps should have, extremely useful at a great price!

Amazing if you ask me
I love this. I know, I haven't used it yet and I shouldn't be reviewing unused products, but I don't see how this can end badly. I've always wanted to do taps with a drill and now I can to make quick work with my tapping needs. I plan to try it by hand and by drill press and will report back in the future when I next need to do a tap for a project!

Good tool
The case actually arrived scuffed and dirty, with some of the plastic torn away. This set will allow you to use your 3/8" drive accessories to turn a tap, and each holder is labeled with the range that it supports. While I appreciate it being labeled with the SAE sizes, it would be nice if they included the metric equivalents in case that's applicable to what you have. Once inserted and tightened you can drive the taps with any 3/8" accessory you have from a breaker bar or ratchet to a t-handle. There's also a hex to 3/8" socket adapter so you can use it with anything that will drive a hex shank. The price is pretty low, and while I'm sure there are high end versions of this out there, for me, for now, this is what I needed and I'm happy with it. It works well enough and there isn't much that I can find to complain about.

Perfect tool for my shop
I fabricate quite a bit of metal projects and I generally bolt them together for easy transport. The tap and die set I have uses the old t-handle style holder. This get to be quite a task to get 20 holes tapped on some of my projects. Now I can use my impact driver to do most of the work for me. This saves me time as well as my arm strength doing quite a few holes. It holds my taps securely in place and I haven't had any come lose yet.

Handy adapter if you have a lot of threading to do.
Normally, I run thread taps by hand, it’s slow, but I don’t do it all that often so I take my time. This adapter really helped when I had to clean out and retap a dozen holes in a row. Since I was mostly just chasing threads, I chucked the tap up in my drill with this and went to work. Saved my wrist a bit of strain for sure - also works great on a manual ratchet too for tight spaces with limited range of motion

Easier than T-handles. Must have for your tap set.
This set can save a lot of frustration users of taps face when the typical T-handle tap holders included in sets fail to hold the tap tightly and the tap comes out, or the handle just gets too wobbly. This set also comes in handy when forced to work in tight spaces where rotating a typical T-handle won’t work. Each tap holder will fit onto a 3/8 drive extension or ratchet of you choice. Also included is an impact rated 3/8 to hex head adapter, giving you the ability to use the tap holders in a drill chuck or an impact driver quick release collar. Although taps aren’t designed for use with impact tools, at least they made sure the adapter was up to the task for use in a power tool. Included storage case is compact and well made.In real world use, this held the taps I used it with securely - nothing loosened up until I wanted it to. The collars for loosening / tightening the jaws felt just a little rough when turning, but a couple drops of oil took care of that. I’d order these again if I need more.

Good, but...
I tested these tap sockets with several different sized taps and drive types. The sockets hold the taps securely, and the taps didn't come out until I removed them. The sockets fit well onto my 3/8" drive ratchets, so I will plan to use them whenever I need to tap a hole. They seem to be much easier to use than the standard T-handle. The box also includes 3/8" to hex adapter for a drill or impact driver. One thing I noticed about using the adapter concerned me. I did the obligatory two squeezes of the trigger on my impact driver, and I noticed a great deal of wobble at the end of the tap. I held the driver steady on the workbench with the tap straight up. When I squeezed the trigger, the adapter rotated nicely, but the end of the tap drew a circle about an inch in diameter. It looked like a drill bit that was bent or wasn't inserted properly, so I reseated/secured the tap several times, changed taps, and changed sockets, but never got a wobble-free spin. The wobble seems to be coming from the sockets themselves. I don't know of any instance where I'd use an impact driver or a drill with a tap, so it may be a non-issue, but I can't get past the wobble.

Works
This product works, but its a little too rough for my liking. The threads feel gritty, like they were cut without fluid. When it comes to tapping tools, I like my tools to be really smooth and easy to tighten. When its rough it is hard to get the right tightness on the thread and requires a lot more effort in tightening causing premature wear. For the most part its why I use Starrett taps at home and work. They are smooth and do the job reliably and predictably.I have no doubt these will work for a while, but previous experience has taught me if the threads are rough, gritty and loose, it won't last. These have that trifecta on my sample.
