This VHS to digital converter is really useful! I have a lot of old VHS tapes at home, some of which have begun to age, and fortunately I have this device. The installation is very simple. Plug in the USB port, connect the VCR, follow the software instructions, and you can easily convert to digital files. The converted video quality is good, and the audio synchronization is also very good. It is worth buying!

This converter is a big help! Simply connect the camera with the analog video interface, and then input it to the computer via USB to easily convert. The converted video can be played directly on the computer and can be edited, which is very suitable for preserving precious memories of old videotapes.

Had to try a couple of different computers but finally got it running good on Windows 10. Never got it installed on Windows 11. I think your milage may vary depending on your PC hardware. Originally gave one star. Have upgraded to 4 stars. I like the simplicity and ease of use of the software. Can save at DVD quality mpg. Exported video sems as good as the VHS. Also the seller emailed me with their contact info and offered to work with me to troubleshoot and see if they could help me get it working. I appreciated that. I also changed the title from Doesn't work on Windows 10 or 11 to Got it working on Windows 10 because like I say it could be a problem with my Win 11 PC's. Some may be getting to work on their Win 11 systems.

Trash.Going into the rabbit hole of digitalizing VHS leads you to understand that these USB type converters are the worst option, specially the ones similar to this.The video quality is worse than the already limited-low-quality VHS, with various visual artifacts and coloring issued, and the sound comes out extremely noisy.Even after attempting to remove the noise using a sound editing software you will still cannibalize on the original sound trying to remove the awful amount of noise.The only solution is one of the following:a) cheaper option: get a non-usb RCA to HMDI converter.b) less cheap: get from ebay or somewhere one of those video capture boxes that connect to the TV which can record the video onto an SD card or an internal drive. Even one of those old game capture devices are perfect for it since it was used to record gameplay footage from the TV too.c) find a store that can digitalize it for you if you don't want to deal with it yourself., they use the best recording devices anyway and so you'll get the best result there.
