Seeing my Best Friend Moving Again
I know it is cliched, but my dog is my best friend. She is an 11 or 12 year old Husky Shepherd mix and the first dog I ever had, I always grew up with cats. She started having mobility issues early this year, she had been turned in to the shelter with a broken hip and gotten surgery at around one year old, and I thought it was arthritis, we tried a plethora of supplements, and diets, but it kept getting worse until I was carrying her for large portions of our walks, and I had to take her to the vet. She was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy and I was crushed. But in researching the condition it talked about keeping them active and a friend helped me research dog wheel chairs, I looked at many options but settled on this one, it is adjustable for when her condition progresses, and it looked sturdy. It is one of the best purchases I've ever made. There are a lot of straps, and a lot of hooks, but my dog let me get everything set up. Getting everything set up the first time was a two person job, holding her up, checking the setting, and getting the straps in and roughly adjusted the first time. After that though, it was straightforward, if your dog is docile you can maneuver them in. After literally the first time in the chair for around 30 minutes, the next day, I brought her outside and she scooted towards me as soon as she saw the vest/harness that attaches her to the wheels. The third time I caught her digging in the yard, and, normally she's not allowed but I realized how long it had been since I'd seen her do that. Three weeks in and we are getting around our small suburban block again, she's getting in and out of the house, walking down the street to see her friend, it has been wonderful to see my best friend regain some of her freedom and mobility, and see the help it's given her good leg to be able to move her around.I did have a small issue with a couple straps, but I contacted the seller following the contact information in the instructions. They responded quickly, we chatted back and forth about feedback on the product, and they sent me replacements via international post that arrived quickly. To anyone with a dog with hind mobility issues, consider this product, and I hope you have the same experience I have seeing your friend walk again.

Good but has become a headache so buy Walk-in Wheels instead if you’re shopping for a chair
Wheelchair is serving its purpose and our dog feels a new sense of freedom since his FCE injury. These things are crazy expensive. Every screw loosens up even on the wheels after a few days of use and constantly needs to be checked and tightened. After his 1st PT visit in a few days and the dr/therapist evals him and checks the fit we’ll hit all of them with some loctite to prevent them from loosening up. For the money this thing costs it should not happen.Revised review update: Our dog’s right rear leg is paralyzed. We use the rear foot loop to hoist that leg in the air so it won’t drag. While he walks that leg swings back and forth and his paw has gotten hung up in the spokes of the wheel, as well as his tail very dangerous and could’ve caused a traumatic injury had we not been vigilant as we were walking him. We need to do something to prevent this. Also harnesses could be far better quality and design…front harness kinda flimsy, no handle on top to aid or control him. Also a few straps already broke, the foot loop, front and rear harnesses and I had to sew them. And I discovered in the virbraroo website although there is a selection for parts and accessories that selection has absolutely no products listed. Had I researched this product more I would not have purchased it, I would’ve purchased a “walk-in wheels” brand which is far superior to this brand because I am familiar with that brand.

High quality and sturdy! The large all terrain wheels worked perfectly.
This product was really well made! It was easy to assemble. I love that there were lots of ways to adjust to fit properly. The instructions were clear. Lots of well placed padding. I highly recommend this product. Unfortunately, my dog was terrified of it. He still has some use of his back legs, so I returned it and will use a sling to help him stand up. If he ever becomes completely unable to use back legs, we will do this again. We had hoped to get him used to it while he was still able to walk with all 4 legs on the ground. We have had to give up longer walks which he loves. The first couple of times he did fine then the third time he just bolted while I was hooking him up and it was flopping all over before I grabbed him. After that, he wasn’t having it… Advise: always have the leash on and the dog secure when putting it on till he is accustomed to it. Wish I had done a better job of that.

It looks like a good product
It looks like a good product. We are still working on getting the dog who paralyzed on hind legs to know it and get used to it. Hope it will work!

Buy new- otherwise it comes in a box like its junk.
I ordered this walker & it came in a box of pieces - some were broken & so I couldn't assemble it.. and the vest had hair on it, obviously used. Sent it back .. refund is delayed & so I have to wait to buy another.. while my pup has to wait..

Wheelchair for dogs
This wheelchair for dogs is durable built to withstand heavy usage with my German Shepherd dog who has lost the use of her hind legs it fits her great but it is hard for her to use for long periods of time walking because she has to use only her front legs.
