Built Well
On the positive side, this item is built very well. The frame is smooth, and it has a clear display. It comes both with a stand and magnets, which give people the flexibility to display the item. The directions are clear, and the setup was very easy. After setting up the item, I realize it's not what I expected. What I expected was to program the current time and date. After that, I would enter my target time and date, and the countdown clock would calculate the remaining time and start the countdown. Unfortunately, that's not how it works.Instead, you enter the current time (without the current date). Then you manually enter the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds you want the clock to count down. You have to determine how much time is left yourself, and then the clock starts the countdown. I don't care for this setup. This item seems very solid, so I gave it four stars. However, I woud prefer a clock that calculated the countdown time automatically.

High value counter for low value cost
A friend of mine is retiring soon and I decided to get her a countdown timer. I first looked at the big neon colored LED lighted ones which are quite expensive if they count days to 3 figures or more. I was certainly looking for something which would count more than 99 days. When I came across this I decided (max 999 days) it had all the features I needed for a one time use AND I could hand it over mysteriously and discretely rather than in a huge box. It worked out really well. She LOVED it!! I actually set the countdown myself before handing it over. Sat there trying to figure out how many days, hours, minutes until the end of Jan, subtracted 7 (no one works till midnight on their last day of work ever!) and got Alexa to validate my math. I didn’t even use the instructions, it’s that intuitive. I also set the current time in the left hand corner - equally easy. This thing is simple, small (6x2 inches?). a fun gift for anyone who is counting down to an event whether a pregnancy, kids or adults birthday, Xmas or retirement etcStick it on a desk (comes with a little stand) or on your fridge (it has magnets on its back).Comes already “on” by virtue of 2 included watch type CR2032 batteries. (I thought this a bit odd considering most such devices have a pull tab these days which needs to be removed to start the batteries functioning).Great value and a fun gift!I hope you found this information helpful 👇

It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN
First Impressions of Countables Large LCD Digital Countdown Clock and Timer - Up to 999 Days - Countdown Timer, Retirement Clock, Count Down Clock for Retirement, Large Digital Timer for Events, Big Display Timer(Black)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐4.5-stars✅ Easy to Use✅ LCD Design✅ Built-in Magnets✅ Includes desk foot stand✅ Well build, sturdy✅ Has a regular clock display✅ Inexpensive, affordably priced❌ Magnets could be stronger (minus 1/2 star)I ordered this timer as a gift for a friend who is retiring in a few years. I thought it would be fun for him to set the timer and watch the days tick away. This device has a regular clock along with the larger prominent countdown timer – which makes this more useful because I can tell time with it as well. The timer has a maximum setting of 2 years and 9 months. The magnetic back struggled to stay attached to my refrigerator. I got around this by attaching larger round neodymium magnets in between the clock and the magnetic surface. Although in some instances, LCD screens are more difficult to see especially in dim lighting; they are much more power efficient and thus the batteries last a long time.If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.

Here comes retirement!
This countdown clock is just what I needed to countdown my retirement The time setting is simple. You just set the days/hours/minutes/seconds until the event and start when ready. The display is large and easy to see, even from across the room. It has magnets on the back that allow mounting on a metal background, but they are somewhat weak and on a magnetic whiteboard, it slides a little, It holds fast on my textured refrigerator, so results vary.Overall this is a great little countdown timer.

Outstanding in every way but one.
I ordered this to give me a little hope when I am having a bad day at work. I am planning to give up the corporate rate race in about two years and live a more simple life without a paycheck. Some days, I don’t think I am going to last that long. So, I got this countdown clock to make it look like I am making some noticeable progress to that end. The size is perfect and the device can either stand on your desk or be mounted on something metal, like your fridge. Unfortunately, the magnets don’t hold well because they are set into the device about a millimeter and that’s just enough to diminish the magnetic hold. The display is simple and easy to read. It’s simple and modern and won’t look out of place no matter what décor surrounds it. Setting it up is intuitive and the instructions are fairly simple. The only thing I don’t like about it is that you can’t enter the date and time of your event and let the device figure out the distance to it. You have to manually enter how far in the future it is. What I did was go online to a web-based countdown timer, enter the time and date of the event online, and then match the device to that online timer. The timer is therefore independent of the device’s own clock so if you are like me and like things to be exact (I mean, what’s the point of a timer if you can’t be exact) and sync it right up to the second, it will take about 5 or 6 tries to match everything up depending on your math skills and finger dexterity. That said, once you set it, you can forget it. It has two large puck batteries and since this timer can only go up to a couple of years, I am confident the batteries will last at least until your first event.
