I purchases the headset for my 8 year old son. he needed one to use in school. it has a standard 3.5 mm jack and fits into his school Chromebook. the headset wire has volume control and a mute button. he doesn't need the mic boom and i thought this headset would allow him to rotate the boom out of the way or retract the boom would not in use. unfortunately you cannot rotate or retract the mic boom. so when he's using it in class or mic boom is always in front of his mouth even when not in use.the fit is nice and it's comfortable. the sound is average but we didn't need anything expensive. it works for his purpose.

The media could not be loaded. I can't believe this mic quality for this price. I know it's a headset, but the mic has stolen the show. Please see the video review for a mic test.OK, for the headset overall, the sound is OK, not great, not bad, but OK. It's a little bass heavy, but the bass is not the best quality bass out there, and it ends up drowning out some of the other audio cues you might want to hear. For my 6 and 7 year old, they love this headset because the explosions sound bigger and better, according to them. They don't care about dialog or enemy footsteps yet, lol. The volume itself is plenty loud enough. I haven't found a time where I needed to turn them up to full volume. These just have such a warm sound signature, that the bass gets to be too much. I'm a person that loves bass, but this is not the good kind of bass. Like I said, it's a lot of bass, but not quality bass. If you like a sound similar to the the older hyper X alpha headset, this is for you. Even if you don't, these are great for the price.When it comes to comfort, these are great there too. They are extremely light and have cushion where it's needed. Because they are just plastic, but not the thick cheap kind, more of the light strong flexing kind, they conform to my head pretty well, and even fit my little ones too. I have a big head, 24 1/4 inches, and these are fine. I don't have to fully extend them, that's too big even for me. They are comfy even after 1 hr, there were no issues, and that's with glasses on too.I've tried a few cheaper headsets like these for the kids, and these are by far the best. They've taken a beating from my son and still look and work like new. You can't go wrong with these.

In speakers you want the driver to have a heavy magnet in which these do not so yes they are lightweight but they do not have the best bass or balance at all. Now the microphone and headset itself works just fine and look good for the money. Not a problem with it.

I started streaming on Twitch and I needed a good balanced headset. This has become my regular go to headset. I use it on PS4 and my daughter has used it on her switch and it works well with both. The cord is long enough to reach and use. It has adjustable volume settings and a switch to mute to unmute your mic. The ear muff part is very comfortable on my ears 10/10 for comfort. most headsets I have start to hurt after a while and I play for hours sometimes. They are noise canceling but you can still hear whats going on around you. I have a lot of hair and a big old head, so you can adjust the fit to your head using the side bar of the ear muffs. They do look like they would be only for a PC because of the color and style, but they work with other devices. I have gotten them dirty a little since I got them. They have a fabric type material so they are not easy to clean. I would just spray lysol on mine but you cant really wipe these down.

You can tell that the build quality is on the cheaper side. The headset feels very light and easily breakable. However, it feels great wearing them. The earcups and head band are soft and comfortable.The sound quality isn't super great. Like it's not bad either, but it has like a reverb sound to it. Kind of like talking in a large empty room. That's the best way I can put it. As for the mic, I can't really attest to it since I didn't use it, but I assume it would be on par with the rest of the headset quality - not great, but usable.Overall, it's okay but you get what you pay for. Great for when you're on a budget!
