This exquisite handcrafted batik shirt is from the beautiful island of Bali, reflecting the island's tapestry of color and texture. Our Artisan uses a meticulous methodology to produce the time honored process of hand dyed Batik, which first involves applying intricate stenciling to our high quality fabrics. Then the fabric is treated with layers of dye, with wax for masking, to craft innovative as well as traditional patterns. The beauty of using hand dyed Batiks is that every shirt will vary from one another, making each garment unique and one of a kind.

Inconsistent sizing - cannot rely on sizing information listed.
I started with a XLT of the EL Matador Maya Blue pattern, but it was slightly snug. So, I tried a 2XLT which fit perfect in the body, but was too long in length. So, I decided to get a 2XL, and thinking I had zeroed in on the right size, I also bought another pattern by the same maker.The 2XL I received of the EL Matador Maya Blue pattern was much smaller than either of the other two I tried - it did not come close to fitting. I had to do a double-check to make sure the manufacturer name was the same, as the shirt seemed so different in sizing from the first two. I do not know if the manufacturer has two production lines working from different patterns, or if this one was mislabeled, or maybe they changed their sizing patterns at some point, or if there is some other issue. Whatever the cause; the end result is that there is no reliable way to know the actual fit that you will receive. Very disappointed, as I really liked this pattern and wanted to get it for an upcoming trip.Meanwhile, the additional Artisan Outfitters shirt I bought in the other pattern (High Tide Midnight Blue) which was also a 2XL fit exactly as expected. perfect in body and length. Same manufacturer, same size, totally different fit.

"Crazy" good
Purchased these shirts for my soon to be brothers-in-law / groomsmen to wear at my wedding. The three of them all liked the shirt when they received it. The eldest loved it so much he called it "crazy." They will look so handsome in these shirts with an open ti-leaf lei.As for sizes, they run big. I'm sending back one XL and another L.

Nice Summer Shirt.
Nice shirt. Needs a light ironing after washing. Color is vibrant. It has good length. I am happy with the larger size so that I can wear a t-shirt under it.

Take Me to the Tropics!
The shirt fits very well, as Artisan Outfitters shirts always do for me (4X Big...not an easy size to fit correctly). Really like the fabric and pattern. This will look good on the beaches of the Caribbean!

It looks like it would cost a lot more than it does. I did not expect it to be so lovely and of such good quality. I get compliments for it whenever I wear it.

Great for Florida weather
Ten dollars for a cotton Batik shirt including shipping is unreal. I'd recommend for sure.

Other 2XL shirts fit OK. This one too short ...
Other 2XL shirts fit OK. This one too short and too small on belly. Can't wear it. Kept it as I had already removed the labels, otherwise would have returned it.
