the only reason I did not return it was because loved the present
This was given as a Christmas present to a 4 year little girl. the problem was that the wings did not work and did not preform as stated. the only reason I did not return it was because loved the present!

Don't waste your money
I bought one and it seemed to have a short in it. I returned that one. I ordered a new one and this one the wings do not work at all. I have even tried a new battery and it still does not work. At least the first one kind of fluttered. It was just intermittent. This new one does not work at all. Also these are not good for really young children.

A Hit For My Granddaughter's Birthday Party!
I gave the Forest Fairy to my Granddaughter as a Birthday gift. Her Mother opened it early and practiced by watching the YouTube videos on how to make them come alive and became a pro!At the Birthday Party she sat the children down and told them they had a special visitor who came from a far away place to be there. She "performed" what seemed to be magic with the Fairy and the look on the kids faces was priceless. Eyes open wide and mouths agape. They just couldn't figure out how she did it and my Granddaughter who loves Fairies was in heaven! I HAD to order 3 more for her. Since then my Daughter-in-law has been teaching my Granddaughter how to make the magic happen! Great product and worth the price. NOT for small children - parents will have to supervise as the line tangles, etc. It takes a little finesse.

Fairy
I purchased this for two great nieces for their birthdays. After a minimum amount of play, the fish line detached from the wand and fairy on both. We put new lines on both, by that time both girls lost interest and they have both become just part of their doll collections. Great idea but does not stand up to 4 and 5 year old (supervised) play.

Misleading
I thought the string was actually attached to the wand for some reason. How the toy works: You get this very thin, barely visible, easily tearable, string and attach one end to the hair clip, the other end to the back of the fairy. You use the wand to "move" the fairy up and down on the nearly invisible string. The string easily tears and the hair clip almost rips out of your hair because it is supporting the whole weight of the toy.

Crap
These are total pieces of junk! They are ugly and creepy to look at. They also do not fly around via magnets or anything, they are really attached to a fine piece of wire that your daughter clips to her hair via a baratte. What crap!

Piece of crap.
The clip with the attached string lasted about 2 hours. String kept falling off the clip. Fairy broke with 48 hours.

Item did not work was broken can't return it
It did not work, would not fly . ordered in October for Christmas I can't return it because it's over 30 days so wasted money will never order these again very poor quality
