This is a tasty chilli salt, it's not just a salt with dried chilli added, there's definitely a flavour behind the scenes, but you will often find that the pinch you take from the tin is mostly salt.I've no idea why un-iodised salt is being used. Iodised salt is a good benefit with salt consumption.The tin is fancy and the story of the product idea seems heartwarming. The cost is a little high but that often happens with something that isn't mass produced.

A fab African BBQ spice mix in a delightful tin!It contains Non-iodated Sea Salt, Garlic Flakes, Black Peppercorns, Mustard Powder, Lemon Zest Powder, Dried Basil, Chillie Flakes, Paprika, Coriander, Onion Flakes, Dried Parsley and Ginger Powder.It's perfect as a spice rub or for adding as a seasoning when your meal is prepared. It doesn't come with any recipe ideas, nor could I find anything specifically aimed at using this spice mix online, so I have just been using the spice mix as a wet rub mixed with some oil for want of a better way to use it!Recommended and now I'm off to look at the other mixes being offered.

I got this as I do a lot of grilling and BBQs, so like to try out as many rubs as I can find, and this wasn't something that I had come across before.The rub comes in a great little tin and once opened smells great. As it's mainly salt based you need to be careful how much to put on otherwise it will be too salty, so a little goes a long way.I've tried it with both pork and chicken, and both had a great flavour. Recommended.

This is a really versatile seasoning. I've used it on prepared food and its great but its even better to either marinate or put onto meat like steak or chicken before cooking. Delicious! It's not cheap but it's high quality and I love that it comes in a tin with a super cute design.

Ouma Chilli Salt.This arrives and stays in a very nice retro looking tin, so would make a nice well presented giftI often buy chilli flakes of various strengths and add my own salt to create a chilli salt mix, so thought this would be nice to try out, for me I found this way too heavy on the salt and nowhere near enough chilli but I do like I lot of chilli heavy seasoning, especially with pork chops or pork strips.Overall, very well presented but not enough chilli for me, I will continue to use it though but just add my own chilli flakes.
