Matches picture, fussier than expected (lots of tying and velcro)
I guess I was expecting this to be more assembled, like a tutu you just pull on. The pieces are mostly felt. The tutu is tulle on a ribbon that ties on, which is good because that makes it more adjustable, but it's not nearly as full-looking as in the picture. The neck pieces also tie on and the wristbands are velcro.The wings and head are probably the best parts. The wings are individual feathers attached to sort of a frame with elastic that you wear on your arms. The head is a shiny material with feathers on top. It has an elastic band that goes under your chin (like a birthday hat) to keep it on. I will say the wings are pretty but nowhere near as big as they seem in the picture.The set is a good value and cute costumes for a couple. I wish some of the pieces--the tutu and wings--were a bit different as described above. Otherwise this is a good way for a couple to dress up as birds.
