For $199 bucks. You be the judge.
For $199 it made sense to give this affordable MFT zoom lens a trial before plunking down 4x-8x more dough for a OM Pro version. I am not a professional photographer but in the past I had owned a L Series Canon 75-300mm DO lens. And I have to say I missed that ability to zoom in, and I call it "stealing photos" of things that the kit lens just can't get to. So I added this lens to my recently purchased OM-5 kit. It made a lot of sense after reading the reviews of how small and lightweight this lens is. And it is. Paired with the OM-5 it becomes a portable powerhouse setup. Attached are some photos I shot at the zoo with this lens. The photos were shot in RAW and edited down to these jpegs. Enjoy!

Great lens for the $$$
Terrific lightweight and inexpensive lens for the amateur photographer. I’ve shot some really great close up photos with this lens over the past 8 years. The only reason I’ve had to replace it as I dropped my older one… I love this lens!!

Improved my photography life
I'm no professional photographer, so this was only my second lens for a new E-M10 after the 14-42mm. I'm pleased with the way it extends my landscape photography for longer ranges, and lets me get some closer-up wildlife shots. So far it's held up fine to daily use, and the plastic construction doesn't bother me (indeed, I'm happy to have saved a few ounces, since I'm mostly hauling my gear to the woods). Light rain hasn't bothered it so far.
