This jack plate has good quality Brackets and a Nice powder coating. A 2x8 wood bracing block was used instead of aluminum which would be more useful. It’s very heavy- 10lbs.

Well made but be careful
This product is well made. I bought it thinking I could adjust it to fit different motor lengths (I have both 15 inch and 20 inch long motors) but it does not stand off from the boats transom enough to accommodate mounting the 15" motor when lowered to existing transom level. It stands off ~4 inches but would need 6 to 8 inches to mount another motor. Also if you are trying to use it for mounting greater than a 20" long motor you will need to adjust it up beyond what is considered safe in supporting the weight of the motor.

Very cheap made
Only used part of product. Threw away non treated wooden spacer for engine mounting block

Flimsy
Make sure you put the plate inside of the brackets not outside or it will bend. Photos and instructions showed both and I found out the hard way
