I got this because some strange dog (surely not my precious innocent baby floof!) was stealth peeing and pooping in my craft/workroom. When I made the discovery, said poop was quite dry and some of the more, er, liquid stuff had matted in with the carpet, so there was not much hope of getting everything out without assistance. I got this, and lo and behold, it worked! My carpet is poo-and-pee-free! Mine had no issues with build. The device was sturdy and easy to use, though I did find putting the soap water tank back on a little weird until I got the hang of it.The biggest thing to make this work is to be patient. Read the instructions carefully, including those on the device, go slowly, try to get as much dry material out as you can, make sure the area is pre-treated and thoroughly wet before using the vacuum. If you've got several spots, focus on one at a time, and don't try to mass clean at once. Be ready to make more than one pass for the really integrated stuff. Urine came out very easily, even old stuff, and it definitely got rid of the smell. But I still had some faint staining remaining for the deepest and oldest poo, so don't be afraid to follow with a secondary stain remover if needed.

This is the best cleaner ever !!! I have had a cat with urinary issues for 15 years now. This is the 4th small BISSELL I have purchased. The last model I had didn’t hold enough water and formula to clean up one small hairball mess !! Terrible.BUT - this machine is wonderful. BISSELL has fixed every issue I’ve ever had in the past. The brush comes apart so even soggy cat litter can be cleaned out without using a toothpick. The dirty water tank comes apart so every surface can be rinsed clean. It holds plenty of water to clean an 18 inch X 10 foot area. And - you flip 2 switches and it cleans the hose !! I am so impressed!! Way to go BISSELL.

Tl;dr: This device works well for cleaning pet stains (in my case cat throw-up) out of floor carpet.Longer version:The device was easy to put together, fill and use. Be careful of the fill lines on the water and formula tanks; the instruction manual says the entire trial formula bottle can fit inside the formula tank - it cannot.The instruction manual is generally clear, though it has a couple of errors. In particular, when explaining how to use the water/formula spray feature, it tells you to turn the power off, but I was only ever able to get the spray to work with the power on. With the power on, the spray worked fine.The vacuum on the device is serviceable, as evidenced by the liquid I saw filling the dirty water tank while using it, but it will not remove all water from your carpet. You should expect your carpet to be damp for a few hours after using the device, and I recommend bringing a towel with you to pat-dry the spots where the device was used. Owners should also expect a decent amount of water to be remaining in the vacuum hose and tool after use; when cleaning and storing the device, make sure to do so in a location where water spills are easily cleaned.Bearing in mind that the above comments reflect small nitpicks & inconveniences, I do think this product worked well for its intended purpose. It was quick to put together and use, and did a good job cleaning my carpet. I would recommend it to others for that purpose.

Disgusting to admit how great this works.I had no idea my stairs were this bad.I have a large Hoover for the carpet however the attachment for stairs was just too hard to assemble and lug around. I opted for this little gem and boy am I happy. With a household of 4 dogs this is a must need. I already did my sofa as my newest foster isn’t trained quite yet. The auction was great on the solution that came out. I often find most machines out out more thn what it picks up. Not this easy. The spray was effective and the suction was strong. Easy to use. Built great. The storage capacity is quite large for the small machine that it is.
