🌬️ Measure the breeze, master the moment.
The Wintact Handheld Anemometer is a compact, highly accurate wind speed and temperature meter with a wide measurement range (0.3–30 m/s wind speed, 14℉–113℉ temperature). It supports multiple units, offers current, max, and average wind speed readings, and features a bright LCD with data hold, auto-off, and protective casing—perfect for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts seeking precise environmental data on the go.

Great wind speed meter for the price, with really good accuracy
Since I have a drone, I decided to get this to be able to tell how strong a gust of wind is and know for sure if my drone would be able to handle it (the drone is a DJI Mini 2 which can resist 20mph winds). It measures temperature and wind speed very accurately, but it does take a while for it to display the true temperature after sitting inside a warm house. I tested it outdoors the first day I had it and the weather app said there should be about 7mph winds and 53 degrees. The maximum gust the meter picked up was 7.5mph and the temperature was 54 degrees. It is very easy to read and use this, but you have to make sure it is in the units you understand the most. I personally like to use mph for wind, fahrenheit for temperature

Simple inexpensive anemometer
Nice inexpensive device i used to help balance the airflow in my home heating vents. It did the job. It uses the very popular CR2032 button battery. The meter has a red rubber cover that probably adds some shock protection, but I'm not going to drop it on the floor to see if it works. One somewhat confusing thing about this meter is access to the battery which is underneath the red cover. Looking at the back of the cover I just assumed I would twist the round battery shaped area, and the round section would pop off to expose the battery. Wrong! It is just an imprint in the rubber that indicates location of the battery. After a couple of frustrating minutes I realized the whole rubber cover has to be peeled off the device.Underneath that cover is the actual battery cover.

Compared to 3 other anemometers it reads low
I recommend you buy the larger anemometer units if accuracy is important. We had 4 anemometers side by side one day on the runway and this one was reading lower than the rest. I like the size, recessed buttons and design of this smaller unit. When I put this unit and a larger unit on a heat vent they read about the same but in the real world of wind readings side by side it is reading low by as much as 5mph in 15mph wind. Make sure you hold it away from your body so there is a clean airstream.

small but uber useful
Great little devise. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so small though. Fits in the palm of my smallish hand. As accurate as I need it to be for checking vent output at the house. Only wish the back-lit light stayed on a little longer. Just hit a button and it lights up again. Great little home tester back of a napkin math device

Inexpensive and it works well
I needed to seal and weatherstrip my house, but I need to know exactly where. This little device is inexpensive and it works well. I recommend this product for deciding where you need to put insulation or weatherstripping.

Temperature is not accurate enough to be useful
The specifications list the accuracy as +/- 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The device reads 4 degrees lower than thermometers known to be accurate and wanders at times. Human factors are poor. The mode button turns the device on. When on, if you press the mode button by mistake to turn it off, it changes the mode. If you want to turn it off rather than leaving it to turn off by itself, it takes two hands to press and hold the two buttons. I don't recommend this, even for casual use.

Used to balance airflow in house ductwork.
I was surprised that it was so small. It did a good job though for what I was wanting to do.

Terrific value
I bought this after returning a similar product that actually cost a few dollars more, and yet which had proved wildly inaccurate. This unit is very, very compact. It comes with readable directions and it is fairly accurate. This is the one to get if one is interested in something handy and small, and does not want to upgrade to larger units that will require larger batteries, e.g., 9 volt or two AA.
