My dog got a hold of the cable and this fit and worked perfectly!

Not sure how a cable goes bad but my original cable did. Purchased this one and scanner worked as should. Would recommend not to wrap the cable up to fit in case as this would be what possibly caused a wire within cable to become defective(?). At this point, I dod not store this in case with scanner, have it loosely wrapped in a drawer in tool chest
