Works well, and built nicely
I had no trouble with this remote on my Sony a6500, using the S2 cable. I just installed some batteries, connected the receiver to my camera, and away I went. There are DIP switches in the receiver and remote to set a channel, if you want to control multiple cameras from one remote or if you're getting interference from somebody else. It's not the most friendly or elegant way to select a channel, but it works. The 'bulb' and self-timer features also worked exactly as they should. As a side note, if you use bulb mode and have your camera set for continuous shooting, you can use the remote to trigger the start and end of a burst. Annoyingly, holding the button down in normal mode only sends a single press of the shutter button, instead of a constant hold.I didn't have much space to properly test wireless range, but I didn't have issues at around 30ft.I also have a Canon "E3" cable for use with my existing Pixel intervalometer. I tried it with this, and sure enough, it worked just fine. Unfortunately, this remote and that intervalometer are not cross-compatible. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice.Build quality for both the remote and receiver is excellent. Both are made from a high grade of plastic, and the buttons on them have a definite two-stage click.Overall, not a bad remote setup, although it is a little pricy. My only suggestion would be to compare against intervalometers, since they're only slightly more expensive and have more features with a better UI. That aside, it's a great unit.

Excellent Shutter Release for OM-1 Mark II Great Tactile Feel & Pairs Well with Camera!
I have quickly become a big fan of this simple, well-designed hand-held shutter release system! Just plug it in and it's ready to go, no batteries or recharging required. The large spring-loaded shutter button is easy to find it the dark and that makes life much easier when taking dark-sky photos or long exposures.Depress the button half-way down to focus and completely down to take the shot. Press it down and slide it forward and it locks for bulb exposures or light painting. The three foot cable is works well for tripod shots and it's small enough to pack easily in my bag. The remote unit is sturdy, well-constructed and I expect will survive many years in my camera bag.Bottom Line: Excellent corded shutter release button. No batteries, cables or recharging needed! Plug it in and it works! Excellent for long exposures and essential for astro-photography. The hand grip and shutter release button have a great tactile feel with no more fumbling in the dark looking for the shutter!

Feels cheap but works well
I'm not sure what the longevity of this unit will be because it is so lightweight and cheap feeling. The plastic seems very flimsy and not solid at all. With that said, in my initial testing, it works well. This unit comes with 2 cables to enable it to work with the 2 different Canon connections. The receiver works well as a wired remote, with or without power. While I have a Canon remote switch, this feature is not likely to be used often. As for the wireless capability, the 3 modes are very useful - single shot, 4 second timer, or bulb. I've been using the built in 2 second timer, but this may change my shooting habits a bit. With the 4 second timer on this remote, I can essentially have a 6 or 14 second delay if I combine it with the camera timers. After the initial test I can recommend this item, although the price is a little higher than I would like. I reserve the right to change this judgement after some use.

Simple and effective wired remote shutter.
This shutter plugs directly in to my Canon SL2(200D) camera and provides remote shutter release. It doesn't require any batteries or external attachments and still allows for the half-press focus process. You can also lock the button in pressed mode for various long exposure shots. This is great for tripod photography. While the remote seems larger than necessary, it is still very portable. No complaints for this camera accessory.

Great low cost alternative
This is a good quality shutter release. It feels good in my hand, with buttons that are intuitively placed. It works just as expected with my Nikon d850. Its a great low cost alternative to authentic Nikon accessories.

Recognized and working on the R5 - using back button focus will require adjustments. See note.
This is an early review of function. Plastic but well built for the purpose and price. Cord of sufficient length for most uses. Camera does not reject the device. It does activate the shutter. In back button focus mode the camera will no autofocus with just the remote - the function is driven off your front button set up - if set to meter only the remote will do that and snap the shot but will not trigger the autofocus - the camera back buttons are set to do this. So the adjustment is to revert to front button control for use of the remote. In the right setting - bird returning to same perch - you could preset focus and use the remote actuate the camera and take the shot.Main uses for me - preset hummingbird perch shots without me having to move much and astrophotography - manual focus but limit shake on actuation and snap.I expect to like the remote in these circumstances and look forward to experimenting on a higher level.
