Its both fun and tasty
If you are someone that is ok with a fishy taste, as it turns out something that comes from a fish is itself fishy, then edible ink is quite fun to use considering the rather striking (lack of) colour you can add to dinners with black spaghetti being the more well known one which I feel everyone tries first and then to sillier applications like in a jacket potato. The fact this is pre-cooked so you could just theoretically eat it from the jar or mix or use it in more different things without issues is a nice touch. If you are going mostly for the colouration aspect of it you don't need much at all as far as I can tell. Interestingly this is actually a pack of 2 smaller jars which in a way is better in terms f preservation given that they last 20 days once opened and its not like you'd want to use this overly often. That aside it does seem pretty recommendable assuming you don't hate the fishy taste.

Paint it black - your food that is.
I recently made a ham and mushroom risotto using 9g of this Alises Cuttlefish ink in one litre of stock. It was about right for the 150g of arborio rice used in the dish. It made the rice and other ingredients completely black, which added a twist to my standard risotto. It has a subtle fishy flavour but not enough to overpower the dish. In fact, the flavour probably lifted it a bit.The storage lifespan of just 20 days in the fridge is a bit of a pain. I'm not sure I can make enough black dishes within that time so I may have to find some way of freezing this somehow. It also bugs me that they spelled cuttlefish wrong on the front of the label - Clutterfish Ink! Anyway, I like this a lot and am happy to recommend it.
