We play Uno as a family frequently bc we like the simplicity of it & the ability to play a fast game here & there when we want (need) a quick distraction. My father is Obsessed with metal detecting so when I saw this, I couldn't resist & you had to see his eyes light up when I took this out. Omg, you would have thought he was a little kid at Christmas.He got such a kick out of it & he can't wait to show it to his friends who he goes detecting with.Im relieved that the game is similar to rummy so it was fairly easy to get the hang of. We've only had it for about a week so we haven't played that many times yet so we still need to read the "instructions" on the special cards each time one of us gets one. The cards are a good size, the graphics are cute & easy to see. The theme is just so unexpected & unique.Would be a perfect stocking stuffer for a detectorist at any age (even a grown man in their 60's!)

The game is published by Greenwood Detecting and designed by Mr Hand. The websites for both entities are shown on the box.The price is right for a fun, portable, family friendly game.The game is 2-8 players, aged 7+. A typical game lasts 20-30 minutes.It is regular Rummy (or closer to Canasta in some ways) with different suits, coins, jewelry, relics, and gold nuggets, and the cards are numbered 1-13. So, it is easier for younger players to see the runs and sets.In addition to the suit cards, the game comes with some Special Cards that do things like give an extra turn, allow you to trade hands, cause other players to lose their turns, and wild cards.The rules were relatively straightforward, and the special cards include their rules on the cards.All in all, it was easy to pick up, fun to play, and the quality of the components is exceptional for the price.I highly recommend this game.

I have mixed feelings about this themed version of classic rummy. On one hand, it offers a simplified experience that can be great for kids. The colorful cards and cute theme make it visually appealing, and the icons are clear enough for easy understanding. It accommodates 2-4 players comfortably, though I found it a bit limiting for larger groups; having additional cards would have been helpful for games with more than four players.The instructions, however, left something to be desired. They are printed on a small sheet with extremely fine print, making them difficult to read. Also, the instructions don't cover many contingencies, so we ended up having to establish our own "house rules" to fill in the gaps, which can be frustrating.As for gameplay, it's quite simplified, focusing on just one round with little variation, which may not be satisfying for adult players who prefer something with more depth and strategic complexity. In my case, I lean towards games that incorporate multiple rounds and rules to keep things engaging.Overall, this version of rummy is a decent choice for introducing the game to my younger children, but it falls short for the adult players looking for a more robust experience.

Great twist on a classic game. Quality card stock, easy to understand rules and the cards are just the right size for both kids and adults.

My family and I are avid metal detectorists, have been for years. This was a cool game to come across. We often go on organized hunts or just get together with friends for a long detecting weekend. I can't wait to take this on our next get together!

The family likes to go metal detecting, and thought this might be a fun game to have along in the camper. I was pleasantly surprised that everyone liked including myself. Had it not been detectorist themed we probably would not have tried. 11 yr old son even liked.

My family and group of friends is big into metal detecting so this is a fun idea. Definitely taking it on our next detecting trip!
