Works great with docking station
I work from home and have a Dell docking station. The docking station has 3 monitors, a printer, and various USB-C devices like wireless mouse and keyboard, headset, camera, DVD burner, external hard drives, etc. The dock also powers whatever laptop is connected. I wanted to be able to use all of these devices for my personal laptop as well. Using the Cable Matters 20Gbps USB4 USB C Switch I can switch between my work laptop and my personal laptop with the click of a button on the remote. This gives me access to all the peripherals without having to unplug one laptop and plug the other in. Because I mainly use my setup for work I connected a separate power plug to my personal laptop to keep it charged when not selected by the switch. The switch and docking station are hidden under the desk so there are no visible wires or anything. It worked right out of the box and setup was super easy (although I did have to buy a USB C Female to Female Adapter/coupler/extender for about $4).The dock I have is the Dell Dock WD19S USB-C 180WThe USB female to female adapter I used was the C Poyiccot USB C Female to Female Adapter, 240W Power Delivery, 40Gbps, with 8K@60Hz

Switches between my Mac mini and MacBook Pro
Nice little device. I've tried cheaper one that were made of metal that didn't work. This one is plastic and that's just fine. The remote is a good touch. I combine this with Apple's universal control feature that allows the mouse and keyboard to control two computers. You can even drag and drop between the MacBook Pro with its built in screen and the Mac Mini on my LG 5k Ultrafine display. But the LG 5k Ultrafine support is my only complaint and I'm not sure it actually matters. But if I hook up the display to my Mac Mini M1 with a nice Thunderbolt 4 cable, the default resolution is 5k. When I use the cables this device insists on (and only works with) that came with it, the default res listed is 4k. However it remains set to 5k and looks sharp as a tack and I don't think it's being scaled. I think it might just be a configuration thing. Not sure. But doesn't look any different or scaled. Just not sure if it's using any extra resources.

Best USB-C Switch/KVM on Amazon
This is the best & the only working USB-C Switch/KVM I found on amazon. My setup has a laptop & Mini PC both connected as Inputs to the Switch. The output of the switch goes to a Type C Docking station which has all my IOs connected. I have 3 1080p monitors, Keyboard, Mouse, Multiple External HDDs, Multiple headsets connected to the same Docking station. This Switch is able to easily support this huge bandwidth requirement and works without any problem.I use the physical switch and not the remote control.Only problem was that you have to use the cables included. My TBT verified cables did not work.

Works ass advertised with just one small caveat.
This was exactly what me and my wife needed as we share one desk and monitor in our small at home office. The one small caveat is that if you are connecting this to 2 Mac laptops you will need an additional usb-c cable to provide additional power. Unfortunately the instructions and the listing does not mention this at all. Cable Matters does have the usb-c port for the additional cable for power but it does not come with one. After a little trial and error I was able to figure this out and now I could not be happier with this usb-c switch. I would recommend this to everyone that has the same need to hook 2 laptops to one screen.

Doesn't perform with 2 4k@60hz monitors through a dock
Was hoping to hook this up as a switch for a multi 'm-series macbook' setup through a Caldigit Thunderbolt 4 element hub into my two 4k monitors. Unfortunately only one of my monitors (4k@60hz) receives signal through this setup. I suppose it's somewhat expected given how the description is worded, but the product picture shows this connected to a dock driving two monitors. From testing, it appears that 2 4k monitors won't work, but 2 2560x1440 monitors will. This is probably due to this switch running at half the rated throughput of standard thunderbolt 4 (40Gb/s)As a KVM for just 4k one monitor it works well. Takes about 6-7 seconds to switch inputs when connected through the dock and about 3-4 seconds when connected directly to a monitor over usb-c. Supports charging of at least 80w (I didn't have any higher wattage chargers)Test Configs.__________2x 27BK67U LG monitors 4k@60hzM1 Pro MBP/M1 Max MBP/2020 i5 MBP - Caldigit Thunderbolt 4 Element hub - monitors connected over usb-c: 1 monitor worksM1 Pro MBP/M1 Max MBP/2020 i5 MBP - Caldigit TS3 plus - monitors connected over usb-c & Display Port: 1 monitor works__________2x Lenovo 2560x1440@60hz MonitorsM1 Max MBP - Caldigit Thunderbolt 4 Element hub - monitors connected over usb-c: Both monitor worksM1 Max MBP - Anker PowerExpand 5-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 Mini Dock - monitors connected over usb-c: Both monitor worksIn conclusion, if you want to run this through a dock to 2 4k monitors, you need to look elsewhere. For 2 2560p monitors or 1 4k monitor you should be good to go. Lowering the rating because the description doesn't specify this for the docked configuration.

Switches back and forth very well
Once I hooked up my USB hub and got everything properly attached, I'm happy to report that this switches back and forth like a charm. My only (very minor) complaint is the glossy cover on the included remote.

Did not work for me (2 Macs to 1 Monitor Switch)
Unfortunately, I tried to use the product with cords provided and my cords and both did not function. I have two macbook pro for different purposes and 1 thunderbolt monitor. I tried to make it easy to switch back and forth with this device so I wouldn't have to unplug and replug the thunderbolt cord. But the device never worked with my 5k monitor to detect if a computer was plugged in. I would not recommend if you plan to use for 2 MACS INTO 1 MONITOR and switch back and forth. DID NOT WORK.

Funziona

No he tenido ningún problema hasta ahora.

Such a neat little device
If you're dealing with a multiple device or monitor set up, this will device can go along to making that setup work for you.I've purchased a number of Cable Matter cables but this was my first time trying a device of theirs and I'm glad to find that this works just as well and comes with some neat little conveniences. This device switcher was plugged into a hub to provided those much needed extra USB ports. USB PD pass through worked like a dream despite a slightly unconventional setup with power being sent to the USB hub first before being passed through to this device. Both my Windows machine and Mac were powered sufficiently and worked well along side the hub. The device comes with both the option of using a remote or button to change the input device making it convenient to hide away if you want the device to be out of sight. I had mine stuck to the back of my monitor with the supplied Velcro sticker. My favourite feature of this device and it's which I'm such a fan of Cable Matter devices is that the supplied USB C cables come with printed numbers allowing for easy identification of which device is connected to which output.Whilst the price might be high, this is a great product for making using multiple devices super simple
