Worth the price; nothing more, nothing less
It is a good product, and does not have many other competitors in its range hence might be the only good choice.Positives:1. Good range: 15 meters is actually true2. Battery back-up: with moderate usage, 2-3 days off the base station is fineA couple of drawbacks:1. Not very convenient to hold between shoulder and head without using hand (like we are used to with a mobile phone)2. Not very loud; no speaker functionality3. UI is basic; again, not at a smart phone level. Works fine at a cordless landline level, but we tend to see it from the eyes of a mobile phone user

A very good quality phone for basic home usage.
Received the phone a few days back. The product was new and not old stock. Here are my initial impressions.Pros -1. Built quality is good2. Ring tone is loud enough to be heard even from outside the house. (Some tones might be heard over longer distances than other)3. Caller ID works fine on BSNL network.4. Easy to take and place phone from base unit.5. Range is good. (Never tested the limits though)6. Easy to operate.7. Phone looks beautiful.8. Call clarity is also good.9. Doesn't interfere with the Wi-Fi signals. (Phone and router are kept around one feet apart) Update : While on a call Wi-Fi gets interfered noticeably on older Wi-Fi devices. The signal strength remains good though.Cons -1. Little pricey @ Rs. 1680.2. The base unit not very stylish.3. Doesn't work on power failure.4. Call history showing only missed calls and no incoming or outgoing calls. Redial option is available.

No speaker! and UI not comfortable
Handset is good. But is has NO SPEAKER IN IT. You can order beetel x90 in 500rs less amount also with a speaker and a louder ringer voice; if it matters to you. Otherwise it is a good handset. Also not usable when power not connected. So if you have power failure issues or don’t have inverter at home go for traditional landline costing 500/- and if you want modern style telephone with a commutable distance and a speaker; go for beetel x90 worth 1500/-. And ya, the UI is not comfortable for a common man; you have to read the manual and get use to it also beetel x90 has a easy and a bigger display. One thing to focus on; x90 has Dc7.5v input and Panasonic has 3.5v input and both inputs are different. Beetel has 2metre wire and Panasonic has 1.5metre wire. Also beetel x90 has keypad lock and alarm feature but Panasonic didn’t have. I ordered Panasonic then returned it and ordered better x90. No issues with the device but for me speaker and other was must. Rest all is good.

Happy with the quality and freedom of wireless.
It takes about 3 seconds to display phone number after displaying "incoming call". Names can also be stored against phone numbers.Display is okay and loudness is adequate. Voice clarity is good. Battery backup and range is also good. It can be used in any room in the house and also some area outside home. The handset is compact and lightweight, and easy to hold.Though the handset is battery powered, base is powered via outlet. So use it along with the old handset to receive calls during power outages. This doesn't have a speaker phone. It has a button on the base which rings the handset so that we can find it if misplaced. Overall satisfied. Using it everyday for a few months.Update after 2 years:No complaints. Still going good. Buttons that we use the most are a bit dull, but visible. It is used like 8-10 hrs per month for the past 2 years.

Dissatisfied
I made a mistake in buying it. Here's why1. It works only when there's power supply. In other words, the phone connection goes off when your electricity goes off. Don't buy it if you've frequent load shredding in your area.2. As it works in the same frequency as wi-fi, it generates noise disturbances when wi-fi modem is kept nearby.3. There's no loudspeaker option but the volume of the handset is okay.4. You can NOT cut the call and it keeps ringing. If the other party cuts the call, it takes time gets cut only after a time delay.5. The settings are little "medieval" and it is not easy for senior citizens to understand6. The charger wire is not really lengthy. However, there are few pro's as well1. Works well even even when used in long distances2. Charge last very well into days3. Contacts could be saved and missed calls could be viewed4. I've dropped it many times but still works well5. Customer service of Panasonic is goodIMHO, cons outweigh the pros. It's your call.
