Although my apartment is smaller, the original 10,000 btu worked hard to keep up. Sun set blasts my back wall. Walls are all concrete block with no insulation. The 12000 more than cools it all the time. I usually use it set at 80f with fans for a great cool at a lower cost. Haven't tried all the options yet. Worked great with Alexa, who sets it to 90 when I leave. Only a few min to get it down to 80, and with the fans very comfortable. I do use the dehumidifier option sometimes, and the Air option for ionized air when I cook something like fish. Got it to replace a 10,000 that didn't seem to work as well. Arusion refunded the cost of the 10,000 which stopped cooling, and got this 12,000 refurb for less. Highly recommend with a extended insurance policies offered.

Design is great, very quiet, love the wireless capabilities, it was fairly easy to setup, took about an hour

Heard great things about these. Inverter technology is supposed to be very energy efficient. I bought the amazon renewed version. Did the install. As soon as the inverter starts up, it trips the breaker (15 amp). To be clear, 15 amp is standard. House is less than 15 years old and we routinely run other 12,000 BTU window Air Conditioners on the same outlet. They do not trip the breaker. I assumed it was a short or problem with the unit, so I ordered an exchange, but the next one came it, it did the same thing! This product is listed as only requiring 12.1 amps cooling, but either I received two bad units in a row, or there is something off. Unless you have a special 30 amp breaker for the outlet supplying this device, you may have problems.

This was a refurbished unit allegedly in excellent condition. The carrier dropped the heavy unit over our 4 ft high fence which crushed one bottom corner of the well packaged, boxed unit. When I opened the box a good sized dent was in the top corner of the outside portion. However, the dent in the unit didn't correspond with the dent in the box. I believe the dented unit was placed in the box. Not in my opinion a product in excellent condition. A partial refund was agreed to. The unit itself is so far fantastic. Every thing works well. I am very pleased with the performance of the Media inverter window AC. It draws approximately 1 amp more than my Mitsubishi mini split systems which have less than half the cooling capacity of the mini splits. One nice feature is the unit shuts down completely no fans once set temperature is reached in the room. My mini splits always have a fan running at some power level.

Upon unboxing the unit, I was surprised to see a substantial dent in the side, despite no damage to the shipping box itself. Also, the bottom of the unit showed some scrapes in the white paint, indicative of it being drug across a rough pavement-like surface.That said, it seems to work great (like new), and I have had no issues whatsoever with its operation. It keeps my room plenty cool, and operates most of the day at low to moderate speeds, despite 90+℉ external temperatures. Installation was straightforward and uneventful, provided you follow the instructions.Also, it's worth noting that you probably CAN install it without using any screws, as the bracket is quite sturdy and simple gravity is likely to be sufficient to keep it from going anywhere. It would require a significant impact to knock mine out of position such that it would fall out of the window, and I'm very confident and willing to take that risk in order to avoid adding screw holes to my vinyl window. I liked this unit but the only reason I did not give a 5 star is because sometimes it makes a rattling noise, more like a vibration noise.

This is a unique inverter AC that mounts differently in that it is not supported by the window directly. In fact its unique U shape allows for the window to be raised and the unit stays in place. The compressor sits back a ways which allows for a very quiet unit- very pleased so far - took about 45 minutes to install and there are some you tube videos that really helped! It’s not as complicated as it looks from unpacking the brackets and you don’t need to buy any separate supports for the outside unit. So far so good- it cools quickly and quietly!

I like this unit. Was a little challenging with my window but the support bracket is a great design. We like the unit and use the dehumidifier feature also. Works great from the app, too.
