HydraPak SkyFlask (300ml/500ml - IT Insulated) - Lightweight Collapsible Handheld Running Water Bottle Soft Flask, Adjustable Handstrap, Spill-Proof Cap

This soft flask is extremely light and comfortable to hold. The thumb loop works very well for me. It allows me to hold the bottle securely using almost no grip pressure, with no need to overtighten the velcro hand-strap. The thumb loop is a good size for me and did not cause any chafing or irritation, but it might not work for someone with very large hands. The bite valve has good flow and I didn't experience any leakage. This is a soft flask, so it collapses as you drink from it -- no sloshing. I did not notice any plasticky odor or taste. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the insulation, as all my runs since getting this have been in very cool temps, but I'll update this review after I've had a chance to use it in warmer weather.

I like the flask. Easy to hold and drink from on the run. No slosh. As others have said the tightening strap doesn’t stay tight but as shown by another buyer, I put Velcro on it and that worked really well…. UPDATE!!! After 4 months of use I really love this bottle. I’ve had no leaks and had it in two 1/2 marathons. Made another modification. There was a small sleeve/tube that slid up and down on the strap to guide the pull tab. It was made of thick plastic and had a rough joint that rubbed on the back of my admittedly bony hand. I cut it off and it is much more comfortable. Great product

I really like softflask water bottles for running and this one is great! It is easily collapsible after you finish drinking and can be stored in a waist belt or pack. Easy to clean and the quality has been excellent for how much I put these bottles through. The hand strap works pretty well. You can also put a buff or other headband around your hand with the bottle for extra security, if you need that for running. I’ve used these for many ultra marathons and highly recommend!

I've been using this bottle for a couple weeks now and the bottle definitely works for running. The collapsing feature is nice since it prevents the typical air pocket that causes the water to slosh that happens in hard bottles. It does take a bit of getting used to holding something mushy like this after having used hard bottles for years.Although I think this Skyflask functionally works I think there are two parts of the bottle that could be improved.Although the insulation is a nice feature to keep the liquid at temp for longer, I have a slight issue with how its constructed. There is an approximately 5 mm seam in the plastic shell running the length of the bottle under the hand strap where the insulation is compromised (see picture). If I put in water and ice, I can really feel the coldness in my palm which can become painful like holding anything really cold. I avoid putting ice in my other uninsulated hard bottles for this very reason, so I was hoping that this insulation would take care of that issue. I wish there was no seam or the makers at least put it on the other side where the fingers meet so I'm not touching the cold seam constantly. I assume they put it under the strap for design aesthetics. For this reason I don't put ice cold liquids, which is kind of disappointing.Secondly, I wish the strap had a way to get locked in place. Over the course of a run you want to cinch the strap down to keep a tight grip, but the strap will loosen itself over time. There isn't too much slack to begin with anyways so at its loosest I can still maintain an okay grip so its not too bad, just annoying to use.

I never used to run with a water bottle, but I thought it was time. I love that the thumb hole on this one lets you relax your hand without fear of dropping the bottle. Being collapsible also makes it easier to hold and keeps it light. It's easy to fill and to clean. Make sure to give it a good rinse when you first get it. Mine tasted a little like vinyl for the first use or two, but then it went away. I didn't want anything large or heavy, but if I were to buy another one, I would probably get the 500 mL bottle for those really hot days.

I have used this a couple of times and it doesn't leak. The strap attached to the bottle is adjustable and I am able to hold it effectively without any issues. I am so glad I bought this! The size is small enough to not feel like an annoyance while jogging. It also provides enough fluid get me through a short jogging session before hydrating at home. Clean up is easy, just had to wash it a couple of times to get rid of the "boxed plastic pool" smell.

Mi actividad principal es correr, me gusta ir lo más cómoda posible y sin muchos objetos; esta botella es muy ligera y cómoda para largas distancias.

Me llegó ayer y hoy salí a correr 12km con la botella en la mano y definitivamente es cómoda.Los materiales se sientes resistentes y la boquilla hace muy fácil poder tomar agua en la carrera.Definitivamente la recomiendo.

Las primeras horas de uso tiene un sabor muy malo de plastico. Prefiero usarlo con alguna pastilla de electrolitos para perder ese mal sabor. Espero que con el tiempo se pierda el sabor como dicen otros comentarios pero por el momento sigue.

This is great for running! I wanted a water bottle that was lightweight, easy to hold, easy to drink from, and wasn’t bulky and this is exactly that! The water bottle is a strong flexible silicone like material that you can bend and squish down as you drink so you aren’t left holding a large empty bottle. The strap is large and has a slider on it to adjust to your perfect fit. The nozzle/straw on it is easy to drink from, and has a lock (I haven’t experienced any leaks). The only thing I would warn you about is to wash it a few times before use. There was a chemical smell to it that took a few washes to get rid of. Other than that it’s the perfect product!
