Good quality for the money.
My microwave oven died…it was 25 years old.I loved it, so it was logical that I would purchase the modern day equivalent of that microwave oven…and it is. Before I read the instructions I was able to set the clock because it was like the old microwave oven. First let me say that I use this on my counter…yes it takes up a lot of counter space but I am short and if I place it on a shelf I wouldn’t be able to see in it. The microwave oven is stainless so it matches modern day kitchens and not so modern kitchens. The light bulb isn’t as bright as my previous microwave oven but you can still see in. This microwave has a child lock on it…after you heat your food you have to press the lock release button and then the door release button. If this feature annoys you there is a way to eliminate the lock release. This microwave oven has 1250w which is 50w more than my last microwave oven. I thought my last microwave oven died in a few days but now that I have this new one I realize that it was “sick” for a while. This microwave oven cooks/heats the food evenly and if you heat another item the second item cooks as well as the first. As you can tell, I’m really happy with this purchase.

Works Fine with a few irritations
Works just fine after a little learning curve. Looks nice and not as heavy as my old microwave. As with other reviews the light is extremely low and as expected and seems better if ambient light is low. Don't like the electric cord plug which is inline rather than off set at a 90 angle. Old microwave lasted over 20 years but we'll have to see if this one does. Lots of, what to me seems like, worthless fancy tricks like 3 settings for popcorn and the child lock. BTW you can disable the child lock, if fact they put on a color cover illustrating how to do permanently. Price jump up $20 a few days after my order was placed

Huge Almost Commercial Microwave
The microwave is great, however it's simply too large. I downgraded to the 1.6 c.ft. microwave, which delivers similar performance at a standard size.

Panasonics Are Built Cheap
BUYER BEWARE! I bought a similar version of this microwave in May 2023. The microwave was installed in a house we were building and built-in to the cabinet with the associated trim kit. We moved into the house in May of 2024, which is when we first began using the microwave. Within 14 months we started to have problems. I heard a beeping sound coming from the kitchen and noticed the power level counting down. The only key that responded to touch was the "stop/reset" key. At first, resetting the microwave by unplugging it seemed to fix the problem; but that only lasted a day or so and then it became totally unresponsive. Searching the internet you will find MANY similar stories. I contacted Panasonic but in order to talk to tech support I would have to pay a $9.95 fee before I could get connected. I chose the "chat" option but that was useless. The agent referred me to a appliance repair store near my house that had a 1.4 star rating. No thanks. Some people experiencing this problem were able to disassemble the microwave and rig it to work with minor issues; however, the power level no longer worked. The inverter power is the primary reason I purchased this microwave. Having it inoperative was a show stopper for me. It's really sad that a microwave at this price point only lasted 14 months. My aggravation was compounded by the fact that I also paid $300+ for the trim kit. In order to build in another microwave, I'll be forced to layout roughly $800. Panasonic is obviously using very cheap keypads that will last just beyond the warranty period. If you have other options, choose them.
